A truly fantastic garden reflecting the quirky taste of the Williams-Ellis family with lovely touches throughout. Do make the effort to walk up to the wood and the folly and monument. Full of character and atmosphere.

Gardens a tranquil delight, cafe serving excellent snacks, meals and a variety of drinks both hot and cold.
The house was very interesting with various artworks including painting, pottery and textiles.
To top it all of a walk in the woodland opposite to come across a colourful tin pagoda various other colourful items. The highlight for me was the turreted folly on top of a rocky outcrop with views all around.
Loved it all.

What a lovely hidden gem. £2 to park, there is a pay and display but the instructions are in Welsh. If it's any use, you only put in your last 3 letters on your number plate! £5.50 entry which you pay in the cafe. The gardens, although only small, are lovely and very well maintained and the views are amazing. The house is very picturesque and old and well worth a look inside.
The cafe is lovely and sells a lovely cream tea.
It's well worth a visit and passes a couple of hours away.

Peaceful, well maintained if a little small, but therein lies the beauty. Virtually no plants (when I visited) as the gardens are modelled on the Italian Renaissance period with bold, bush, tree and stone statements with stunning vistas with of course topiary, lots of topiary. There are however splashes of colour with roses and a hydrangea garden to the side.

Just a beautiful find. Perfect gardens with a small cafe. Plenty of parking. An honesty box on the back of the gateway in if the cage is shut.

Superb gardens. Great variety and history. Buy a guide book when paying for entry for the best experience. It starts no dogs so please bear that in mind. Really a very experience. Cafe and toilets available.

Came here for the cafe and the sign on the door said closed until April. Unfortunately, the sign at the road said it was open, and the parking meter said the fee would be reimbursed with a cafe purchase, so we paid for parking just to find out the cafe is closed and the gardens are unmanned, with an honour system dropbox for payment.
