Lovely house with views over the bay. Great gardens laid out over tiers. A lovely story about the 3 sisters who owned it. Just opened a cafe which was very nice.

Great to visit for a coupe of hours. Lovely gardens and interesting house history. Delicious scones from the tea room and very knowledgeable staff and volunteers; not to mention very friendly birdlife! Take the time to wander through the woodland walks whilst you are there.

This house was left to the trust by three sisters, lovely old house kept just the way it was all those years ago, well worth a visit and the gardens are beautiful in full bloom.

This is a great place to visit.

Plenty to see inside the property and really interesting. There is also the fantastic gardens, woodland and orchard to explore anytime of the year. There estate is larger than you may think with several suggested walks.

As you would expect with National Trust, there is a car park, toilets and tea rooms.
The car park is on the road and you need to walk up the footpath to the house and Gardens, Although there is disabled parking nearer.

There are great sea views from the estate.

A beautiful period 3 story cottage left how the three sisters who lived here left it. Fantastic relics inside including a Neolithic axe found nearby. Beautiful gardens and orchard to get lost in with great views of the coast. Good cafe and plant shop.

Free to National Trust members or £6.50
There is a free car park. This is across the road from the house and ticket office. You cross the road then follow a path to the ticket office, cafe and toilets. Purchase your ticket and visit the toilets before going to the house as there are no toilets in the house and gardens. You will then cross the road to enter the house and gardens. A beautiful house and gardens with wonderful views. You can walk around the gardens and orchards and into the woodland. The site is not that big. If you fancy a drink head back towards the ticket office. The cafe offers a range of drinks, cakes and lunchtime meals.

Visited today, what a lovely house, such a lovely 'feeling' inside. Some beautiful furniture frozen in time. Pretty terriced gardens with some fabulous flowers & plants. Shame our dog wasnt allowed around the higher woodland, luckily it wasnt hot so we could put him in the car for a while. Busy little tearoom, mainly outside seating. Road to get there was mainly single carriageway with passing places. Some parts of gardens are steep with steps. Beautiful part of the UK.
