Tesco Petrol Station

24 hour petrol station, with pay at pump option and premium Petrol option. Station manned only within normal working hours. Has tyre pump and washer refill station. Recycling skips also on-site. Prices are average, by no means cheap though convenient as it's just off the motorway. Was fined 8 million pounds earlier this year for a major tank leak which caused severe contamination of the river irwell below.

I've given it 5 stars for the convenience of being situated just off the A56 and being a handy pitstop for those m66/60 journeys.. I don't like the card only pump (furthest from the forecourt) it's diesel pump only works at low flow rates. I do like the free blue gloves, diesel smells all day to me.

Only a small detour off the M66/A56 bypass... Off the motorway - following signs for Haslingden/Helmshore, pop over the bypass, bank a left at the roundabout, then down and up to the petrol station 🙂, and a reverse of this, back onto the A56 Haslingden bypass, then onto Accrington/Blackburn or Burnley too!

That's if you're heading Northwards - those heading south is a pretty similar minor detour 🙂.

PS: Free Cash Machines also onsite - adjacent to the Tesco's Extra!

Dont advertise yourselves as 24 hour / card payment when all your pumps are closed off

Update your hours! Not good when you are running low on fuel and it says your open24/7 for pay at pump ans your not!!!

It’s not open 24hours? They always have cones by 8/9pm. Please update your hours 🤦🏾‍♀️

Not much you can say about a petrol station. Quite often busy due to the location being near the bypass. Cashiers are mostly very nice and friendly, which makes a change for Tesco.
