Shell

My local Shell is brand new but has become my regular place to fill due to its location compared to other petrol stations in the area.
The prices are good, the staff very friendly and there are also a couple of guys outside who will fill your car for you whilst you pay.
On my last visit, one of them recognised me and greeted me with a handshake.

All round better than BP.

I use daily and always get served by roxy and dana they are simply the best!!! Always friendly always clean always well stocked. Keep up the good work ladies!

Only dropped a star due to high price of fuel (compared to local supermarket) and price of food/drinks in-store which is now branded as Waitrose. Always greeted by friendly and well presented staff. Beware of speed of lorries as you exit the fuel station and occasional muddy slippery road
ps 99octane petrol available and superior diesel too

Always friendly and very knowledgeable staff , always looks very clean and good quality fuels that you always get from shell

Was in Costa Coffee next to this Shell Patrol Station today, as I had my son with me, he got dirty after eating, so I went over to Shell which was right next door to buy a pack of wet wipes, and I pick up a pack off the shelf, the price label on the shelf was I think £1.09, but I was charged £2.20 at the till, and pointed this out to staff members, they offered a refund, but I didn't have that choice as my son needs the wipes, so I left, but my point was they should just refund the £2.20 and charge me £1.09 as priced on the shelf....but they never offer me this choice, and their attitude wasn't friendly nor apologetics....... very very disappointed with the outcome....... First picture is my card statement which proves the charges, and 2nd picture is the same wet wipes(by Waitrose)which I bought from Shell....and Shell charges me £2.20!!!!!....
From other past reviews, it seems the owner ignored all the negative reviews as I did not see any reply, so I don't think I will get any reply out of this review.... but let's wait and see

Really convenient place to fill up and shop if you're caught short. But be warned use of Shell App has caused me a massive headache here:

Apparently if you dont have good phone signal payments can fail, in which case you're just kept waiting, and they shout at you from the booth.
Last visit the pre-payment/authorisation system flagged fraud to my bank, and my card was stopped.

Too many frustrating visits! I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve picked up a product that’s clearly on a promo - only to get to the counter, have it scanned and then be charged full price, then when I point out it’s on a promo the assistant claims to know nothing about it, or they admit that might be the case but it’s not on the system. Or send another member of staff to check the price.
Some staff can also seem a bit rude and unbothered in these situations.
Waitrose food section is always under stocked.
Store feels disorganised at times, random stock lines placed in the wrong place.

It’s a shame as it’s a nice modern petrol station but always feels like it’s not being run very well, whether that’s in store or ‘the system’ I’m not sure.
I don’t normally write reviews on anything - let alone petrol stations, but frustratingly it’s on my doorstep so often find myself there for ‘bits’, so I’m hoping that shell or Waitrose read this and do something about it.

Fuel pumps are always cleaned so friendly staff ..prices of fuel are also way much better then other fuel pumps.
