Sainsbury's Petrol Station

Small and very dated branch of Sainsburys. The decor and general feel of the place is one of neglect. Its only saving grace is the excellent friendly staff. Soon to disappear in any case with the opening of several large competitors in the local area although it might survive if the place is looked after a bit more.

Big shop. Gets very busy, especially the fuel filling station because it is cheap.
One annoying thing is the trolleys; you need a pound to release it and I often forget until I'm there.
Staff are very helpful.

There are a lot of new supermarkets around but this supermarket is compact and has everything presented well. The staff are the best. They show you around the shop and the cashier's never rush you. Many cashiers are older and they take the time to chat with you. It reminds me of my youth when everyone was friendlier.

The store is showing it's age and is quite cramped.
There are other store in there area that offer more choice and better value and this store hasn't managed to keep up with the competition.

It's a shame Sainsbury's spent time on protesting the construction of ASDA instead of improving their own store.

Good prices, either this pump or the ASDA pump nearby are the cheapest, all the time. Pay at pump always works, when receipt is not available it lets you know in advance. Paper jam sometimes happens :) Long waiting queues in peak times (especially weekend afternoons); long hoses are available at every pump!

Its good that they added the Pay at Pump and the Nectar Scanner. Overall, the fuel quality is good... as always. However, as it is just off the main car park with a narrow road leading to the main road, and the actual size of the station, it can get very congested.

P.S. The fuel prices are surprisingly cheap

Cleaner has been rude to me on 3 separate occasions having a go at me because I walked on the overly wet cleaned floor. I understand his frustration but the way he is handling the situation is unacceptable.
