Called in here for coffee and sandwiches, (lunch) after another coffee and some phone calls left, only to get a £100 fine for my stay.
Disgusting, especially as Drive Aware recommend that if your tired whilst driving, stop and have rest before continuing. Health & Safety has just cost me £100....

Likewise, stopped to have a rest and some lunch and received a £100 fine for staying 40 mins. Didn't even look for any signage as who would think that you can't stay at a service station for a rest and a break!! 30 mins free parking apparently. As per the advice below. AVOID.

This place only allows 35 minutes free parking. Then slaps you with a £100 fine. Avoid like the plague

A gilet jaune approached me while I was drinking my Costa and told me me that I would get a £40 fine if I was parked for more than 35 minutes and £100 if I refused to pay. I usually filled up at these services but now I will avoid and fill up at Tollgate Services.
Another truck driver was complaining that they refused the £1.30 for his Costa because he was on double yellow lines. Avoid these services! !!
Forgot to mention; this outfit own the filling station on Cuxton Road strood so avoid that too! There is a SubWay here so don't think you can stop here long enough to queue up, get served and have time to eat.

The signage is bad and I thought I was on motorway service station with 2 hours parking. Stopped and had a brief meal in the cafe and left after 48 mins to get a few days later a demand for £100 as I had exceeded the free 35 mins of parking. This is atrocious and will appeal.

received a parking charge of £60 for parking for 1 hour ( i did buy from the shop)
may i remind them that these services are sign posted directly off the motorway network directing people to the services, so the parking should be 2 hours free as set by the uk government

Charged £ 60 because they don't have a visible poster with parking time and you have to pay for parking! You should be sued for improper posting! This is discrimination for people who travel from other areas and want to rest! If it were displayed properly, everyone would pay and this abuse would not be done anymore !!! 😣😣

You use Costa machines but don't accept the free Costa drink rewards from the Costa app, bit of a joke really.
