Only stopped for fuel & a bottle of water but you could have bought sweets & snacks

We (my family and myself!) have used this garage for 25 plus years for our petrol and also spent a substantial amount inside. Obviously the prices in store are higher but we've been happy to spend and support a local business. Have always found staff to been pleasant and welcoming.
Over the past couple of months everytime we've gone there has been an issue. The garage has been closed on numerous occasions 15/20mins earlier than advertised, even though forecourt lights and shop interior lights were still on, pumps were off, to make matters worse the man working has either deliberately ignored us or sat there with a proper smug look!! Twice I have entered the shop to be abrubtly and rather rudely told that I am to late or he is closing now. One of these occasions happened to be a very cold Sunday evening, I realised my gas had run out and desperately needed to put credit on, the same rude arrogant man took pleasure in refusing to serve me knowing full well I wouldn't be able to get it anywhere else. He also hasn't any basic manners, no please or thankyou, you're made to feel like you are inconveniencing him. I only gave one star as I couldn't give a zero rating. Dreadful man needs a serious personality overhaul or a different job, the latter being the most preferable option!

Prices were extremely good when I went last. All members of staff are always friendly and conversational.
