Wonderful local Family run Tavern. A warm atmosphere, friendly service and delicious meals served everyday of the week. Take advantage of their special offers during the week. Sunday Roasts are really enjoyable, finished off with a dessert. Booking essential.

First time I've eaten here and call me shallow, but I always judge a place like this on their burgers...... and
i have to say, quite possibly one of the best burgers I've ever had. And I've had a lot of burgers at a lot of places!! The St John was bordering perfection in my eyes and their chicken burger was an absolute treat!!!

Like I said, this was my first visit as I've not been to Bury St Edmunds for 20+ years but I shall be making this trip again to try something else on the mouth watering menu.

Friendly staff and owner. Consistency Great food. This isn’t a negative at all if you haven’t booked for Sunday lunch call ahead as it’s always rammed.
Lovely owner and staff family members. You’ll definitely not be disappointed on whatever day you turn up 10/10

Cross between a modern bar and a diner. Decent range of drinks available, food offering mainly burgers & pizzas. Others in the group enjoyed their food, my pizza looked like it had been made by a child. Far too much sauce and no mozzarella in site. Disappointing really.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here. We're not local and to be honest based on the website, name and menu we had assumed it was more of a cosy tavern type place which it isn't as is definitely more of a bright restaurant. Food was good though and still a nice looking space.

Went on Father's Day and it was pretty busy. I would recommend making a reservation if you plan on a Sunday Roast, regardless if its a holiday. Food was good, wine selection could be better. Lousy acoustics and it being busy made for a very loud atmosphere. Service was excellent, but their are better roasts in town.
