1. Dr Bello would not refer a patient to a psychotherapist or psychologist after numerous appointments where hallucinations and voices have been noted. Stages of amnesia were also mentioned and the patient felt like there was absolutely no hope in getting what required for themselves. The patient turned to their counsellor about this matter to which they were absolutely appalled and shocked at the situation.
2. A patient called regarding chronic back pain. Dr Bello put the patient on high doses of painkillers and stated the patient has a slipped disc. The patient has fought cancer on two occasions and is extremely fragile. When the patient explained this matter to their cancer specialist, the doctor was appalled and wrote a letter to Dr Bello about his wrong behaviours.
3. A patient has been suffering with chronic stomach pain and has been sent home from work whereby they have been bedbound for weeks at a time. Dr Bello suggested antibiotics each time the patient has called up and therefore not referred the patient to someone who can look at this in more detail. The patient fhas no hope amd feels like giving up. The patient is also very concerned but Dr Bello will NOT refer the patient to a specialist.
4. The gatekeepers (receptionists) are extremely rude and its although they come into work to argue with patients on the phone. When patients are waiting to see Dr Bello they heard the disgusting language the receptionists have towards patients. The receptionists also say awful comments about the patients after the phone has either been hung up or slapped down. That's correct, the receptionists are known to put the phone down on you without seeing to your concerns.
5. A patient suffering with a UTI asked for antibiotics. This is a common situation for the patient as they regularly suffer with these infections. However, Dr Bello would not prescribe antibiotics until a urine test was completed. The patient then had to take the test and wait 2 days before the test was going to be sent off. This would take a further 3 days. By then, the patient had gone to out of hours via the 111 service as the pain was too much to handle. By the time the results came back, Dr Bello prescribed the incorrect dose of antibiotics. This meant the patient would not have recovered and thus would have gotten much worse overtime. Hospitalisation may have been another result for this particular patient. This also means that Dr Bello clearly did not read the notes about this patient.
Believe me, I am in no way medically trained to be a Doctor. However, I have had witnessed these instances first hand and its quite shocking and unbelievable. I have been a patient with Dr Gladstone Bello's surgery for around 6 months due to moving to the Accrington area. I will be looking for a new GP as I fear for myself and my children with the lack of healthcare profession. More harm will be caused if in the hands of Dr Bello. I believe he is either too busy to make an effort or he needs to go back to medical school for more training.
Why do we bother to even call a doctor, i dont think they actually care anyway. do better asking a pharmacist now they DO care.
I have not been monitored for over 2 years for my ckd stage 3, now you tell me a doctor gives a fig :-(
