We have been with this GP surgery for two years now and have had a great experience. They have been very responsive on various issues for both myself and my young children, calling us back quickly, calling us in for appointments promptly, and making necessary referrals immediately. The staff are always helpful and friendly. I can’t fault them.

I’m very satisfied with the treatment received at the surgery from both the admin and the medical staff, who have been helpful and responsive. Once the app is set up and running after registration
(which was a bit less straightforward for my children) my queries have been promptly answered with a call on the same day, with adequate action put in place (tests, prescriptions). As a medical professional, I valued the dedicated consultation the GP did for one my children’s health issues . Prescriptions were also available right away in the pharmacy of my choice which was very convenient.

Very rude staff unhelpful with my enquiry. Lazy to pick up the phone . I spend 30 minutes waiting to be answered even dough I was 1st in the queue.
I waiting 4days for my repeated prescription to be approved .I've prolong
health condition and I need my medications to be continued. The reception team have awful attitude towards patients. The man on the phone told me to change gp if I m not happy and when I told him about my feedback he said it is my problem and he is not interested. Horrible experience left me in tears and distress I feel hopeless . When I asked about manager call back the man said manager doesn't deal with the calls Horrible horrible experience.

Sadly a lot of GP in the U.K. are awful. The only nice thing I can say is about the receptionists, when you manage to get hold of them. This place is especially so. They make you use an app to prevent you from calling/asking for help (although they disguise it as a way to be more efficient).
I had a massive allergy reaction once and one of the doctors told me it was yellow fever. I was sent then to one of the senior doctors, very rude and very mansplaining made me undress without being behind the curtain in the middle of the room. Once he declared what I had he sent me off with a name written on paper about the medicine I had to take. As I was on pain, I sent my husband to the pharmacy. It turned out I needed prescription and when I told the practice what happened (as I was still near the practice) and asked for a prescription, I was told I had to book another appointment. I ended up going private and paying £120. In 10 mins my issue was sorted.
I was lucky to be able to afford it however I’m gobsmacked by the level of incompetence is rife in GPs practices in the U.K.

So far so good.
I like the fact that they offer online appointments and they have always called me within that day.
I don’t have any complaints in terms of using this service.
Even having my smear test was amazing. Usually, with other GPS I didn’t have great experience during smear test.
However, at Hanley GP the nurse who did the test was amazing.she made me feel relaxed and ok.
They have always been super supportive.
I will have to change then only because I moved house( therefor borough 😞)

I'm sad to say I no longer trust Hanley primary care centre practice to either lookafter my child or myself when in need of medical care and I have been with them for more than 10 years. I can't understand fully why they changed for the worse but it's easy to notice the change.

Money makers don't care about patients only increasing the numbers of people registering to them. After long thinking and patience to be given the right care, now I've given up and registered elsewhere where my family & I are treated like human.

Maybe this all telephone consultation might work for older people but when it comes to infant care I do not understand why they are not seen urgently as a mother I feel let down.

Very rude staff. They push you to use Dr IQ to book an appointment but there isn’t any availability on the app. And when you call they can’t book you to see the doctor for the next day or following week, let alone for the same day. Aggressive tone and very curt when they finally pick up the phone to hot be helpful at the end.

Trying to get an appointment here is a joke, using the app you can only book appointments for very limited issues so for anything else you have to call on the day (can’t book in advance) and I waited 2hrs on the phone to get through only to be told that there were no appointments left. Really ridiculous system, I will be changing practices as my old one was much better, and would definitely not recommend this one. What is the point of being registered to a GP if you can’t actually see them?!
