North Shoeburyness Surgery

Absolutely appalling practice. The lack of care and concern for their patients is horrendous. I understand that's it is difficult to get an appointment with a doctor any where but when you can't access your test results for over a month because of no appointments, and expected to wait in pain without any help for 2months. I've already had one set of blood results that showed there was an issue but now can't get the re test results to get the treatment I need, just constantly told call Tomorrow.... no help in the mean time whilst waiting. When you loose 10kg in weight (accidently) suffering from daily pain, and memory issues... its very difficult to sit and wait for months.
Even phoning 111 who agreed I needed an appointment and requested the doctor do this... they still failed to call me.

It is practically impossible to make an appointment here. I have been trying for weeks and weeks to make an appointment for a small unwell child. However, I could not do it because of the busy line on the phone in the morning. I have called hundreds of times and every single time, it was busy. Service is appalling and the overall surgery is concerning. Needs an investigation.

UPDATE - 4/11/22 North Shoebury Surgery thank you very much for sorting your appointment booking systems out!! The call back service is fantastic and very efficient, no more hanging around waiting to get through, Perfect.

Previous review - Have called 187 times this morning and no response, no waiting list and just a busy tone continuously. This is such an unfair way for appointments to be made, people have to work and do school runs how do you expect us to sit on a phone all morning? It's so outdated, sort it out!
Update-267 calls and no getting through, have been on the phone for 55 mins trying to get an appointment, disgusting

Requested a repeat prescription online. The surgery called me querying it and after I answered their questions they said they needed to go back to the nurse to verify and get back to me. Over a week later and still no call, and nothing outstanding on my online portal. I have been on hold this morning for an hour. When I started the call my queue position was 2. How can it take an hour to answer 2 phone calls?! After an hour the system cuts your call. Truly shocking service

This surgery has really improved in the last few years since Tabbie and Dr Siddique have taken over. This surgery always provides a friendly, efficient professional and service. Firstly, the girls on reception are always polite and happy to help with any queries. Since the new phone system has been installed it’s easy to get an appointment. The clinical staff are always knowledgeable and ready to go above and beyond. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Recently visited the surgery to see a GP for blood test and a review. Excellent service , the surgery has come leaps and bounds in the last few years and I'm over the moon with the service I received.

I phoned at 8am & requested a phone-back. I got my phone-back within the hour with an appointment. The lady on reception was extremely helpful and got me an appointment for the same day.

After 3 weeks of trying to cure my weeping red spots with home cures, I went to the ASDA pharmacist expecting to be sold a lotion and she said I should come and see you. I arrived on Thursday afternoon asking for an appointment expecting having to wait perhaps 2 - 3 weeks, but to my total surprise (and delight) you arranged for me to see a GP within 5 minutes. He obviously knew his job well because the 2 prescriptions he gave me are already working. After all the negative press on the NHS & GP's it's nice to see really first class service. Well done, fantastic.
