Does not worth a star.
Was waiting more than 45 minutes with kids, the audio guide was very poor and was played before reaching the monuments.
The buses are always waiting at the bus stop for new customers between 10 and 15 minutes. Drivers are talking with other guys during the stops.
They do not care about you.
Rachel who sold us the ticket told us that the buses where coming every 15 minutes.
She presented the company as the original, she could not show her ID.
Very DISAPPOINTING...
Stay away from this company, you will lose time and money.

I did not see this review before buying my tickets. We lost an hour waiting for a bus and missed the changing of the guard because of this. While waiting the there were 5 Big Bus tour buses stop at the same location. When I asked the City tour employees they had no clue what was going on. This company is cheaper but you get what you pay for. Big bus cost a little more but they have a lot more buses trust me. They also have live guides. The city tour bus gives you head sets that you plug into and listen to a static sounding guide. Save your time. Your time is valuable while on vacation. All the bus companies do the same routes and sights. Good luck

My wife and I were in London for three days and looked for a way to see the sites. We found a brochure for London City Tours that cost less than their competitors and, always interested in saving money, we tried their two-day pass.

Positives:
Cheaper
Hits most of the tourist attractions
Friendly personnel

Negatives:
Too few buses
Very long waits
Inconsistent service

Our experience:
Day 1 went smoothly. We were pleased with the recorded tour commentary and had little difficult catching a bus, though we noticed they generally ran about 20 minutes apart, as opposed to some competitors (Big Bus, Golden Tour) which had buses every 5 minutes.

Day 2 was a horror story. We leaving the British Museum around 2 pm, we needed to go to Paddington Station. This is just over two miles. It took FIVE HOURS.
Bus one-After waiting twenty minutes or so, the first bus we saw drove past the stop without pausing, though we waved vigorously. We chased after him and caught him down the block at a red light. No problem.
Bus two-We had to make a transfer to the blue route, so we got off and waited at the stop. There were several employees of the company there who were quite friendly. Again we waited twenty minutes or so. Then, once we were on our way, our driver announced that he wasn't going to complete the route and we all had to get off. Apparently he had exceeded his allowable hours. He told us to take the next bus in twenty minutes.
Bus three-The previous driver neglected to mention that the next bus wasn't following the same route. When we realized it was going the wrong direction, we approached the driver. He told us the best option was to get off at the upcoming stop and take the next bus going the other way. The red-jacketed employee at the stop assured us it would be just a few minutes.
Bus four-Didn't arrive until after 6:30, an hour and a half later! In the meantime, nearly a dozen of their competitors' buses passed by. After apologizing, the bus driver said one of their buses broke down. Finally, this bus returned us to Paddington Station.

I understand every company has bad days, but again, it took this company FIVE HOURS to get us to our stop. Ridiculous.

I dislike having to give poor reviews but I hope it will be taken on board and improved.

- Buses don't run on time. You wait out into the cold and rain for a bus to arrive.
- Bus drivers are aggressive and abuse other bus drivers on the road.
- Buses don't stop at the designated and advertised stops.
- There is no clear indication on the maps where the pick up locations are.
- Buses are cold and wet.
- Can't see out of the bus windows due to window decals blocking.
- Only audio guide available and this doesn't match up with some routes.
- Too expensive

Hopefully you will use this feedback as a way of improving your service.

This is a TERRIBLE company, buyer beware! They prey on unsuspecting tourists in the street, take your money and count on you not doing any research on their operations. We were kicked off one bus saying another would be along in 5 minutes only to find out it was actually 35 minutes away. When we called to complain, the attendant was rude and said it wasn't her fault there was traffic, rain and construction. After arguing with me for 15 minutes, she said I would have to send an email with all the details and they would retrace the bus routes to see if my claims were valid. I hung up on her, will dispute the charge on my statement.Don't do business with them!

Can we start a class action lawsuit against this company? Absolute garbage service, you will be waiting for upwards of an hour for their buses. For every City Tour bus that stops, you'll find FIVE other Golden Tour or Original Tour buses that pass by.

Do not fall into this trap. Their business model preys on unknowedgable tourists. This experience taught me to always look at Google reviews first, no matter how slow the 3G coverage.

These guys are frauds. They should be arrested for misrepresentation and being con men. Incredibly rude operators, absolutely no revert or information once they've got your money. False representation of the frequency of buses, you'll be lucky to get one in the time they promise. We actually had to walk one km from the actual bus stop to get the bus!!! And did i mention how ride they are, once they've taken your money? Worst experience ever in London, they singlehandedly do so much damage to London tourism that I am surprised the city hasn't banned them yet.

London City Tour.
London city tour by riding the bus is one of an alternative to seeing London from the street. The tour operator will use the double-decker bus with no roof to ease the tourist to see the view along the bus route and take a picture directly.
There're many routes or map you can choose at your convenience or your time, they are ready from 08.30 to 18.00 Pick single trip or multiple, and how many stops you want to be dropped and picked up again (hop-on hop-off bus tour)
then you can follow the red route, blue, purple, etc. They offer you 6 routes options.

I have visited some places listed on the itinerary but my reason to ride this bus for getting the experience sitting on the top deck and enjoying the panorama view of London City and the uniqueness. That was my first time riding that bus.
