Best coffee ever. Love this place. They had sold out of sandwiches, but went out of their way to bake fresh baguettes for cheese or ham for 8 of us, we had lots of amazing coffees there and the kids were very happy. They have a lovey shop next door that sold beautiful ice cream and we bought some of the Gower coffee beans which was delicious.

An absolutely beautiful and gorgeous spot on the well known Gower Peninsula of Wales, We only stopped for a ice cream and short break. But I also checked out the old path which we used to visit years ago when we were growing up.
My Grandmother used to arrange coach trips for the day down there. Which was a real highlight of our younger days, it has not changed in many ways in its appearance.
Its a stunning setting which just sprawls out in front of you, you can access it from a few different sides, the pathway from Parkmill, which is very uneven terrain and the longest way, but you can play in the estuary when tide is out, but only okay for people without any walking disabilities or anyone with prams etc, although years ago, people just seemed to take it in there stride.
My suggestion is to access it from the Golf course side, but you still have to contend with sand dunes, down to the actual beach, But please be aware this is a very dangerous beach when the tide comes in with cross tides and the estuary filling cutting you off on some sides totally. So I personally would not recommend it too strangers or anyone unaware of this tidal problem, I must reiterate that it is A Simply Stunning Setting, great to visit and check it out. But there are other easier and lovely picturesque beaches on the Peninsula which are easier to access.

Beware £3.00 to park or face being clamped £40. No overnight parking allowed.
Arrived very early morning to try and catch sunrise, watched Paddle boarders on the river( incoming tide) at 3 Cliffs valley directly below Pennard Castle remains.
Also saw 2 Kingfishers and a Dipper.
This place is magical first thing in the morning.
Got back to Sheppards just as they were opening for coffee and Breakfast.

Lovely little Cafe - great that it's open again.

Thanks for being dog-friendly!

Excellent, friendly service.

The pumpkin soup I had for lunch was utterly delicious, and so was the crusty bread to go with it. When I asked for tap water I was given a whole jug to myself - nice and cold from the fridge. A rare treat!

Lovely shop stocked with lots of local produce, fresh and long life. Just opposite one of the paths to the beach, perfect for a stop off before heading off for a picnic.

Great location. Lots of outdoor dining space in good weather. Friendly staff. Menu was a bit limited when we went in the off season

Delicious coffee, plant milks available although no vegan cakes in the cafe. Lovely, bright cafe to sit in even on a rainy day.
