IL GUSTO THE THEATRE OF TASTE

Came into this shop and overheard one sales assistant talking to another about how they overcharged someone £13 to hit their target and get a Christmas bonus, which we initially thought was a joke.

After choosing our whiskey and paying we noticed that the bill was higher than expected. We came back to the shop to get a refund for the £8 pounds we were overcharged. The staff weren’t apologetic and made us feel like we were bothering them, which made us believe it wasn’t a mistake.

If it was a genuine error then staff need more training on how to use the till as we are clearly not the first ones to have this issue and also on how to handle situations like this.

As a result of this experience we won’t be coming back to the shop.

I bought some fantastic gifts here. Really good customer service. Whether it was the oils or the alcohol, the girls in the shop were very knowledgeable about all the products sold so able to offer good advice. Huge choice of bottles to choose, from skulls to stackable bottles that stack up like building block's. The glitter filled sparking wine was an absolute treat.

A lovely little shop filled with speciality alcohol, oils and wine. Ranging from pink gin to 21yr old whiskey. You can choose your own bottle, stopper and have the option of a message if it's a gift. The staff are very knowledgeable about the products. Well worth a visit

Not a restaurant, this is a small boutique spirit shop. Nice selection of gin and vodka, generous with the tastings, decanted into a wide range of bottle shapes she sizes. Plenty of gift ideas! Also sell oils and vinegars.

Purchased two different bottles of there rum and both tasted really cheap.

I had really good expectations but unfortunately it was a let down. The calamari wasn’t crispy and bland. The mussels where delicious but that was the high point of the meal. The pizza was very average however the pasta was delicious. The decor was very sensual, so I proceeded to disperse my seaman accordingly.
