1. Order was placed. Took a while for confirmation - understandable due to PayPal. However when PayPal allowed the transaction. The order wasn’t made ready until I had called the shop in barking twice.

2. The order was labelled as “prepared” for three days - so my current wait up until then was 7 days. Then the order was dispatched on Friday 29th.

3. After checking online status, the order had been changed to partial. My guess is the books were out of stock. However. Islamic Goods direct, did not contact me once. No email notification, no phone call, no text message. I had to manually check the website on several occasions.

4. I contacted the barking shop again on two occasions, who assured me they would look into this and sort it out.

5. It’s been ten days, I have not received any correspondence from Islamic Goods Direct. No email, no phone call, I have contacted the store in barking upto 5 times, each occasion my details were taken down and I was assured that someone would contact me.

6. I have made another phone call to Islamic Goods Direct to complain about this poor customer service. Because I have yet to receive any information regarding my order. I’ve never received such poor communication from any website or store whatsoever.

I would appreciate it, if I am contacted upon receiving this review, because this was my last option, and it’s unfortunate that it has resorted to this.

wow!!!super super super low prices, excellent service and super fast delivery. Been shopping with them since 2010 and never disappointed.

Guys can you bring back your 'click n collect' service as that was handy for me to order online and pick up from your Barking store, now I must pay for delivery :-(
And when is your Barking shop reopening??? it's been over a month. but overall well done.

A rip off, charged me £5.95 for postage, which costs them £1.80 (for a large letter), not worth it. Not buying again nor recommending it to anyone.

Update 27 Oct: I was refunded for this order by seller in August, seller opened up an inquiry with shipper but my understanding is that the original order was never recovered. I appreciate for the refund, however for the overall service received, time lost in tracking and most importantly the books I ordered couldn't be read in time they should have been read. I was overall disappointed. I have upgraded the rating slightly for receiving the refund. Your mileage may vary.

Update 11 Aug: I have received a reply from seller after posting this review. I will be happy to upgrade my rating if this gets sorted.

Ordered £40+ worth of items on July18 ORDER IG#1811. It's more than 3 weeks and still waiting for parcel. They apparently sent it via Parcel2Go but it's in limbo, I have a tracking number but Parcel2Go policy says they will only inquire if sender asks for inquiry. So I have tried contacting sender (this company) multiple times over last 3 weeks. I have tried online customer support on website, all it says is leave a message and phone and we will call you back, which never happened, left message multiple times. I have sent emails, but no response. Tried calling no response. So trying my luck here now, as a last resort before I turn to my credit card company asking for money back. Also I am using this public forum to formally communicate that I will be asking for a money back if you don't respond to my inquiry by tomorrow.

Ordered a item on the 21st December 2022 now we’re in 2023 still waiting messaged on Instagram,email and the app shop so I’m still waiting for any order if not I want a refund and no it’s not a fake account before the owner says it and has a look at their emails and other apps

they are the best! while other islamic shop on Ilford Lane is trying to rip off customers by charging ridiculous prices these guys are almost half price!!! And good thing is there is no compromise on quality, they sell same books and other items at a far discounted price and the Eid gifts I have bought for my family as much much better quality then other at almost half price. The only objection I have is that they don't open their shop daily and it's only few days a week or you have to shop on their website :-(

Poor communication and only stock low quality of products. Seems they are not interested in stocking high quality. I had to revert to online. Very disappointed.
