Lovely shop for gifts and unusual items

Been coming to this gift shop for 5yrs to buy crab bait and general seaside paraphernalia to make my children happy.
NEVER AGAIN. Today, my daughter ran upto the shop and pulled one of the plastic balls out of the ball rack outside and bounced it to me as she wanted to spend her holiday money on it. The shop owner came out and was very annoyed and angry about this (it was a £2 ball) upset my daughter (6yrs old) and everyone in our group. We were even explaining we were going to buy the bloody thing and he still wasn't listening. Rude, ignorant.... And his wife wasn't much better either.

After a great day on the Welsh Highland Railway we walked into Caernarfon for a drink and on passing the castle gift shop the kids asked if they could spend some of their holiday money. My youngest (6) picked up a gold coloured plastic sword saying it would match his silver one at home. At this point the shop worker came out and took the sword out of his hand and firmly put it back in the box. My wife said he was just deciding on a colour but this was met with a completely dismissive attitude. If you have a shop selling cheap children’s seaside bits surely you expect to attract children looking for cheap seaside toys. If you don’t want them to touch anything then keep it out of reach rather than send out an angry shop working to scare and worry a young child stood right in front of his father talking about the colour of his plastic sword. Very disappointed and that shop will never receive any of my or my children’s holiday money. We’ll be back again in the October half term but but will steer clear of the Castle Gift Shop.
