Swansea Bay Golf Club

Played here yesterday with my son ,i forgot how big a 18 hole coarse is lol,weather was cracking the coarse was just as good ,showers were hot and we were made welcome in the club house by the locals as we come from bristol.would defo play here again

Not a great course, very samey, no real unique challenges. Also didn't help that we were spoken to like complete rubbish by a couple of old entitled members. Won't be coming back and I'd avoid it.

What a golf club amazing hospitality.
Fantastic test of golf park land & links one day I will return to lift that trophy like I did in 2003.

Very disappointing. What was bad? You can't book a tee time (nor can members apparently). When we turned up there was a golf society on the tee. We had to follow them and it was very slow. The fairways were in an appalling condition with some having more sand than grass. It might be difficult in the hot weather but the fairways didn't look like they had seen water for months. In places it was impossible to tell what was fairway and what was rough. The course is next to (and under!) motorways and main roads so the traffic noise is loud. And at the end, when returning to the car park, I discovered that my car was blocked in. Cars had parked both to the front and rear of me. Mindless!
What was good? Because it was so slow we joined up with two lady members who were very friendly and made the round more enjoyable. And the greens were excellent, in very good condition and great to play on.
Sorry to be so negative but we won't be returning in the near future.

Course conditions awful. Where is the grass? Members unwelcoming, rude beyond belief. Club pro lovely.

Amazing greens with plenty of variety of holes.

Bit disappointed that we were told it was fully open, paid £33 and then found it was partially shut with holes out of play. To be fair our own course was shut which is why we played there, but worth £33 in those conditions..no

Friendliest club I have visited.made to feel very welcome by the members and really enjoyed my day there. Course is a great mix of parkland and links. Weather will always play a part but that's why we love this game. Well worth a visit.
