Tom is an excellent coach making every technique uncomplicated and easy to then put into practive. My short game has come on in leaps and bounds after one lesson!!

Tom is really friendly and very patient! I’d already played golf a year without lessons and had some bad habits he had to coach out of me. 5 months in, I look forward to my lessons as I learn the physical aspects of the golf swing but also the technical ‘nerdy’ aspect which eliminates the ‘why’ while I’m on the course, which is huge! My game is in a far better place but importantly when shots don’t go as planned, I can diagnose why from a technical point of view and change it on the next shot! Would highly recommend Tom as a coach for all levels of ability and age group.

I've had a great experience with this coach. I must mention I did not have much experience with golf when my brother and I decided to get some lessons for fun. Mr Hodgson was respectful, kind, knowledgable and patient, he didn't mind that we didn't have prior experience, in fact he embraced it and told us he could teach us the right habits from the start! Obviously, one lesson didn't make us great golfers, but an understanding of the basics is now something we can practise.

Tom is an extremely patient coach and perfect for me as a beginner. He has an encouraging and gentle approach and switches our lessons about so I never get bored of repeating a specific task. He structures our lessons to suit me and I know from talking to others that he is adept at changing his style to suit beginners and experienced golfers alike. Highly recommend wherever you are on your golfing journey.

Tom's knowledge of the game is in evidence the second he opens his mouth to try and explain an idea or concept with you.
There is a jovial glee in everything he says concerning the game, you can tell his ultimate goal is to make you the best golfer you can be, while reminding you that golf can and is meant to be enjoyed.
He can explain the concepts in simple terms or spin your mind with all the technical details truly showing his grasp of the material he is explaining.
A Grade A teacher, and fine fella too.

I’ve been working with Tom for a little over a year now and when I look at what my swing was before to what it is now, everything has changed.

When I first approached Tom for lessons I hade no idea where the ball was going to go, it was just a hit and hope when standing on the tee box. Now a year later my swing speed has increased by 12 m/hr and I can hit a draw/fade/straight shot on command.

A few times I just couldn’t find the feeling of a movement Tom was looking for but he managed to try multiple different drills to make the right movement relatable.

If you’re looking to improve your game and develop a stronger swing, I would definitely recommend Tom as a coach. He’s been fully invested in improving my game which is such a change from other coaches who just look to get more lessons booked.

Tom is a fantastic golf coach, he explains what to do in easy to understand terms and doesn’t overload you with too much to learn all at once. Would 100% recommend if you are looking to improve your game.

I have had a good few lessons with Tom now and I can't fault him. Clear and knowledgeable coaching and the vast improvement in my game is testament to that.
