Stuart Barrett PGA Golf Professional

Stuart is a top golf pro. He has great knowledge and enthusiasm for the game. I really enjoy my golf lessons with Stuart as he has a great way of demonstrating on what we are working on and keeps things nice and simple. Stuart and Andy also offer a great service in the pro shop. I had a full iron fitting with Stuart last year and have since purchased many other items including woods and bags and the service and prices have been excellent! Stuart will always go out of his way to help you and find something for you. I have since recommended many friends who are also very impressed.

Stuart has been fantastic for me, I took up golf in July 2020 and could barely swing a club let alone make contact with the ball. Firstly I contacted stu through social media and asked if he would give me some guidance, as he lived local to me. Firstly he helped me find my first set of golf clubs to get me going, he sorted a full bag of clubs for me with everything I would need to play golf. I then asked if I could send him over a video of my golf swing, he obliged and said send it over, so I sent him over my swing and within half an hour I had a 5minute analysis video with straight forward instructions on what was wrong and how to put it right. This continued for a few weeks and everytime I had feedback from him I was improving. I then went and had a lesson with him in person at his indoor golf studio and had such a successful experience I booked in for a few more. Stu built up my confidence to be able to feel comfortable stepping onto a golf course as it was something I was always anxious about. I then joined Wrangaton golf club where Stu is the head pro, and he’s made me feel very welcome and at ease, as it can be daunting joining a golf club for the first time. Iv built a great relationship with stu and can now not only call him my golf instructor but a great friend. I am now confident standing over a golf ball which is something a few months ago I never thought I would be able to say. I would suggest anybody looking to get into golf or even if you are already a golfer to go to Stu as I can’t thank him enough for what he’s done for me.

I had a driver fitting session with Stuart. The whole experience was excellent. He is very knowledgable and is only interested in what is best for you. I have also bought shoes and a putter from him at great prices. I wouldn’t hesitate to use his services again.

Stuart gave a great lesson at Bovey Tracey Golf Centre for my son with ASD. Stuart is a pros pro and managed to gain the best out of the session due to his kind and jolly manner, thoughtful skill in delivery and the instant way he made my son feel comfortable with someone new. As a retired trainer (not in golf) myself I know what good looks like and Stuart was outstanding. Highly recommended.

I have had a few lessons with Stuart now and I have to say he is a great teacher. Stu easily identified where improvement in my game was needed and explained these really clearly with the help of the video analysis.
