Organic and fine foods deli. Very nice artisan bread. Generally a good range of gourmet products including cheeses, quality ready meals and fresh fruit and vegetables in a small shop.
However, it is far too expensive to be anything more than an occasional treat.

Is there a reason behind not displaying your product prices? Do I have to POA for a can of your beer? Feels quite unwelcoming (and probably illegal) as well as alienating which is the opposite of what a local community focused deli should be striving for. Maybe it’s just the cost of your products that you’re uncomfortable to display …

I shopped yesterday for soup and bread for lunch. Soup was fine, branded organic and £3 a carton. The bread was stale and not nice at all. I was charged £4.85 for one loaf of ordinary white bread that was stale.. I think it was not just a day old but at least two or three days old. I was not told the bread was not fresh, it was not sour dough, it was just old and a ridiculous price. I was in a hurry and just paid without really looking at the price. Some things in this shop are good but expensive, and they are others are a complete rip off.
I have been in before for cheese - they have lots of nice looking cgeeses but nothing was priced so I asked how much one of the cheeses cost. The girl serving asked me what I meant ??? Obviously they expect their customers just to pay up whatever they are asked.
If the owners want this shop to survive I suggest they stop treating customers like cash cows and start providing properly priced , and good products.

Over & beyond & personal customer service! Thanks so much for your dedication to look for the redcurrant jelly that I was after (even when you had other customers in the shop!). Wishing you all the best with The Larder :)

Nice little place to pick up some essentials. Great location very close to Ladywell Station. Some groceries, fruit and vegetables. I pick up my essential sauces unique to oriental cuisine.

Lovely deli with a good range of items. The beer selection is excellent and the cheeses are hard to say no to. The pastries are great for lunch too!
