Portman Stone

We wanted quartz worktops for our kitchen and had heard good things about Portman Stone. We called in at their premises in Christchurch and were shown around by helpful, friendly and professional staff. They were very knowledgeable and gave us good advice. The quote arrived very quickly and was very competitive. We placed our order and they straight away made an appointment to come to our house to measure up and make a template. Delivery and fitting followed two weeks after the measure up. The fitting team were brilliant - fast, clean & tidy, friendly and professional. In no time at all the old worktops were taken off and in their van, their gas safe plumber had disconnected the sink, taps and the gas hob, and the new worktops were fitted. Our kitchen was transformed and looking fabulous. The plumber reappeared as if by magic and everything was reconnected. Job done. No fuss, no bother. Well organised. Easy.

I could not recommend this company highly enough! Firstly, they have a huge range of options (many of which you can see beautifully displayed in their showroom) and they are extremely competitive on price. The communication was excellent from order to finish and the installation team were brilliant - super professional, gave us great advice on how to care for the worktop and the installation was perfect. I am an interior designer and I am very fussy about what I have in my own home! I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to my clients.

The whole team were amazing! Cerena- who helped me choose the stone, was very knowledgable and gave me good advice. The man who came to do the template - Yarik- was also great and he could tell us which bits were a bad idea- we designed our kitchen ourselves and clearly had not thought through one or two things! Yarik also helped us solve some of our issues with tap heights etc. And finally the two man team who came to fit were superb- so neat and tidy and even created an extra hole for the insinkerator which we had not realised could be done during fitting. All in all a fabulous experience and our Quartz worktop looks incredible - I cannot recommend Portman highly enough!
