I had an excellent experience with GDL. After being messed around by a larger company I dropped in to assess my options. They provided a quote and templating appointment then and there, which had been taking weeks with my original supplier, and had a good selection of products to choose from. The templater seemed genuinely invested in helping me get the best worktop layout possible and I’ve been very happy with the ideas he suggested. Overall the experience emphasised the value of going with local word of mouth over the large corporates.

The worst company I've ever dealt with.
Three people came to fit the tops and left the tops with uneven overhang, unpolished/bevelled edge on the mitre. A 4mm step on the up stands and a worktop 5mm short of the wall, the island top the bottom edge they hadn't bevelled at all. The after sales service from Fraser was useless.
I would give zero stars if possible.

Would recommend using alternative suppliers following my experience using GDL services August - November. I had the following issues:

- Badly fitted worktop
- Kitchen units damaged during installation
- Kitchen appliances left unfitted post installation (a service paid for and never refunded)
- Plumbing damaged internally and externally during installation resulting in leaking

The MD did take to the time resolve the above issues and for that I am grateful, however the process was lengthy, stressful and would not have been required had the correct contractors been sent to my property in the first place. Sub-contractors spoke badly of the business and compensation was less than 3% of the total cost of the worktop, I recommend prospective customers avoid the hassle and shop elsewhere.

I had arranged to buy from another company in Watford, who decided to try and rip me off and increase the price by £500 at the last minute and then, thankfully, stumbled across GDL. Harry and Andrew were really nice and luckily found what I wanted immediately. In fact it's way nicer than what I thought I was going to have originally so worked out really well in the end.

Everything went smoothly with GDL and the worktop is amazing.
