One of the staff stopped me leaving and said I left without paying. I explained that I didn't buy anything and even let him check everything in my bag to prove what he thought is not true. Absolute arrogant staff and said no a single word of apology for their misunderstanding...

It's ok. A bit expensive, but good if you need any basic items. Staff friendly and helpful.

It's OK, but if you're paying cash you'll have to wait for the till op to finish stacking his shelves and come serve you.

Update, Mar 22

Store is much better stocked now and appears to have better staffing.
Frustratingly though there can be a lengthy wait for age verification / help at the self service tils

Such a shame.
This store was a godsend throughout lockdown, with friendly staff and well stocked shelves.
Now the store is regularly under staffed and shelves empty of even the basics.
If you are lucky enough to find anything worth buying, you will wait or ages at the self service tills if it needs approval.

I have been a customer of Co-op Old Tiverton Rd Exeter from day one and can not find a bad word to say about the staff and the way I have been treated up untill now. January 2022 the change in staff has been diar the new crew apart from Christophe have been nothing but rude inefficient and completely out of order they make the customer feel as though we are putting them out if they have to attend the till . They are rude

So many empty shelves and very little choice. Also not able to pay cash for a single item to the value of £2.50.
