Being half Romanian and half British, I enjoy foods from either side of my background, however, being born, raised, educated, employed etc solely in England my entire life, I don't often have the chance to sample a wide range of Romanian foods. There are the odd little shops scattered around but not with much selection, everyone seems to stock the same things. I chanced in to this establishment yesterday with my Romanian speaking mother, my Romanian step-father and my fiancé. This place has a fantastic selection. We have no room left in the fridge or cupboards! It's like a mini supermarket. The only thing I found was that all the signs and labels are in Romanian (fair enough, but I only speak/ read English - so take someone to translate for you, if you go - I had to keep running back to my mother, asking what the interesting product I'd scooped up was). The staff are very nice and helpful and let you try goods if you're not sure it's what you're after. Lovely cheese using sheep's milk! I also found they have a few things I've been on the look out for, for years - authentic sunflower halva for my dad (who will be happy I'm sure, when the parcel I sent him containing them arrives) for example, black wine my step-father likes and freshly baked bread and Covrigi (as well as the lesser known Covridogs) which I can only normally get my choppers around if my mum makes them at home. Very good prices too. I will be going back to stock up again soon.

I like the store because I can find my Romanian products, I recommend the cakes from there and the pastry products that the guys can make like you order.

Good variety of products, but I just bought a few days ago something (multiple items) which are expired for 1 month 😐😐 also why is there no phone number for situations like these? I did not even open it Come on 😐 contact me for a refund. Edit: if you dont have a phone number, how can I contact you? Did you think maybe (I do) live more than 1 hour away? So you dont have a phone number, you made a mistake, and I should travel 2.5h to get my refund, and not post a review??

Lovely guys, lovely selection of products.

I was excited to get some Romanian food but I was unpleasantly surprised to get home and see that the same product had 3 different price tags. The cashier obviously saw it because she had to type the price but she did not say anything. Very disappointing and will never go back again.
For people shopping there - please check the price tags as you might pay more for the same product.

Nice range of traditional Romanian products and really friendly staff. Would highly recommend!
