Kowalski Delicatessen

When I walked in to the shop, I thought it will lack many Polish products, since it's so small. I could not be wrong more. They have a good range of products for everyone. I really like to shop there, service is really good and polite. I go there every time when I am close. And prices are good too, I've been to the shops which had prices twice as high as them.

I’m not sure how did this place received 5 stars.
I’m not a fussy customer but a simple basic customer service is essential when dealing with people.
Sadly we didn’t get this in here.... all I got was a shallow hello and many looks.... made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.
The prices also way too high for the products....
The ham/cheese counter overly expensive and far from a good deal, comparing the other polish shops I’ve been to.
Also dried products more expensive than elsewhere.
The only positive was the shop layout- spacious and clean unlike other polish shops which are usually cramped.
Also nowhere to park unless you leave it double yellow or private parking...

Great store, lots of products, fresh meat/ham counter, hams and cheese cut in slices as per wish. Their variety of fresh hams is unbeatable. Sausage fans won’t find a better place in Guildford. Interestingly the store also offers variety of occasional cakes, made to order, which makes them a patisserie at the same time.

Second visit so far, ...and love it. Great food store I have to say! (myself and my family we are not Polish) Great selection of smoked meat, phenomenal and tasty pickles, ...hmm and they sell dumplings too, wow. Very impressed. Highly recommended!!!

I visited the shop midday today. First thing I noticed was a written message on the door clearly stating "max 4 customers in the store at any time" in both English and Polish language. I could see that the shop was packed with customers, so I waited outside for my turn to go in, but less than two minutes of me being inside the store, there were around 12 people in that little shop and 4 of them without masks. What was surprising and disappointing is that there was no reaction or concern from the members of staff. The Lady over the counter even made a comment to me that it's very humid in the store today, but nothing was done to manage the number of customers. Is that the correct way of running a business right in the middle of a pandemic? Or is it just our polish way of doing things???
