Central Co-op Food - Oadby

Visited a few times during lockdown due to Covid 19. One of the security guards, a young Jamaican man who was seeing people in and out of the store was telling jokes, holding quizzes etc whilst patiently waiting, a great touch. Most the staff are a friendly family bunch as well :-)

Always up for 5 star until today. when work in health care but not NHS so told not good enough. As my colleagues go there too we got the 10%off but not when I tried. In health care is also nurses and qualified staff to keep free hospitals from beds. If not health care homes then hospitals will be full of elderly people. All of u is nice in your store part of one person.

Lovely staff, handy store! The reason I am only giving this store two stars is the fact I've been overcharged many time! The labels in store do not reflect the till prices. Please ensure the database relefects the advertised prices for a better review!

Always had a positive experience in this very convenient small shop with very friendly staff and feel the previous review is unfair as I have found the ladies very helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. I for one am very grateful for all the staff at this store especially during this last year when the ladies on a Friday morning have been very helpful to me and the focal resident who wouldn’t have been able to get their groceries. I had one awful experience a couple of years ago with a member of staff who looked down at me, spoke rudely and sniggered because I enquired about the price of stamps without buying even when buying another item. I've recently began to visit regularly and staff are much better now albeit improvements can be made, especially with the goofy-looking mute girl who doesn't offer any service.

Edit: Sorry for the reduced rating but one awful and insulting incident to this extent speaks volumes for me, especially for a "community lead establishment" that doesn't respond to negative feedback via their customer service email.

I went into this co-op yesterday morning and counted 22 students only 2 wearing face covering when I asked staff why this was allowed the staff at answered its up to them. The students were all over 13 years old picking things up messing around I left the shop and will never return.
I have reported this to the local council lets see if any one will do something.

Went to the shop today. I was taken back by the way team leader talked to a member of staff in front of the customers. I felt sorry for him. Think hthe team leader needs some more training

I think this shop has so lovely workers and the products are high quality with low prices.
