Central Co-op Food - Rothwell

This is a great little shop. Been shopping here for well over thirty five years and really enjoy the experience, apart from one male member of staff who always seems so miserable bordering on surly, belligerent and rude. We try to avoid shopping if he's on the till on his own.
Please ramp up his customer service training.

Good range tho. Some higher prices than supermarkets but only to be expected for a small convenience store. The makeover is great.

Can't beat the caring sharing co-op, prices are a little more than the local tesco unexpress, but better selection and far better customer service.

Typical cooperative store laid out well with plenty of offers in-store. Spoke with two members of staff member of staff stacking shelves to ask where a product was they did not point but they took me to the product, young lady was friendly and approachable, second member of staff at the tills greeted me and was polite and friendly. Free parking available at the rear of premises

Always a great selection and I can usually get what I need for a good price, the staff are always nice and it is always a seamless transaction, especially with their self service checkouts

A good convenience store, but pricey. 1kg Basmati Rice was 20p cheaper in the local Tesco, as was 4 pints of whole milk.

Poor selection of baking ingredients, e.g. no Stork margarine or mixed fruit.

I'm surprised google asks anyone about the co-op. We all know them like an old friend. This store is very local to me and it's been there for donkeys. Sells all the usual essentials, maybe not the cheapest, though I've never compared, it's the convenience I like, that and the fact I probably know everyone in there.
Would be missed a lot if it ever closed.

Like any other Co-op, except there were no self check-outs. Store assistant was helpful, but looked a bit tired / bored. Everything I needed was in stock. It's on the main road, so you can easily access it, but watch yourself, because the pavement is very narrow.
