Aldi, since my last review (now deleted) has gone through something of a transformation. My complaints in the last review have all been resolved since the refurb. There are now wider isles, better labelling of sections, and a healthy range of food options have appeared. The fruit and veg are now neatly displayed and everything there looks much fresher. Staff can now load up shelves without blocking the isles. There is, to my perception, a greater range of food stuffs and visually the new fridges and freezers resemble those of Lidl in Holywell, and that is a store I have highly recommended in the past. Of the jumble sale look, that's all gone. Product is easily retrieved to the shopping basket from the new display cabinets, and easier to see, not buried under other boxes because customers had to scrabble around to get stuff under the old layout. As for the 'specials', these are clearly marked and promoted now. The centre of the store has a long run of 'When it's gone, it's gone' items like shoes, gardening items, camping, cycling and all those special one off goods for the home. Previously they were spread higgledy-piggledy in different isles. Now they are all together down the centre of the store. The staff seem more keen to make it work, and they are attentive and helpful. I overheard that the store has a new keen-eyed manageress. It is my opinion that this refit was long overdue, and it has improved the store 100%.

Fed up with poor quality veg here. Too often they look ok but rotten on inside. Too many fancy goods not enough food choice.
Update as requested from Google 10/9/22 no change its still the same - almost always potatoes have gone bad on inside and bananas the same. I really don't know how they have any quality control. I always have to visit a bigger range store to get other shopping Aldi don't stock

I was shopping with my elderly neighbour when she suddenly needed to visit the ladies, as in nearly all shops there is never one available. I was thinking what on earth I could do when I saw a member of staff so rushed up to him and explained the situation. No more of a do he took my 87 year old friend to the stores private toilet and even waiting outside the door for her , he then walked her back to me . What a lovely man he was, nothing was too much trouble and we can’t thank him enough for being so kind and thoughtful. So thank you again Jason ( I think he was a manager) you were fantastic 🤗

I am doing my shopping with aldi for 6 years. A basket shopping for 5 people is a quarter of shopping for the other shops. Quality wise always fresh good and for no brand name is quait good. Prices have rise just a little.
