The most memorable thing about this stay was the surliness and the sarcasm from the hostess. The comment that leads me to write this review was, "So, are you OK now, or are you still upset about the mushroom?!"
That was after plonking a vegetarian cooked breakfast in front of us with only 2 small mushrooms and one egg on the plate, everything else was tomato and baked beans. All I had requested was plenty of mushrooms and 2 eggs each, nothing awkward. When I asked whether there were any more mushrooms I was greeted with, "NO! We run out!" and we were in plenty of time for breakfast with only 4 other diners. I had made the request the day before, and I was told it would be no problem. "There's cereal over there!" she snapped.
OK, we so we booked late, and only had to pay £85 rather than the £90 tariff as the room was too small to swing a cat in, I accept that. However, I fear there was a reason this was the only B&B with room left; the cleanliness in the room was not great, the wardrobe was slightly damp, there were used tissues left in the toilet bin, the toilet didn't flush the loo paper, the bed was like a surf board with springs on top and the strong smelling spray over everything gave me a headache and made me sneeze. I would have forgiven all of this if the service had been half decent, but it wasn't. There are plenty of other B&B's that I would rather give my £85-£90 a night to and I will.

I have stayed in the hotel for Ironman Weekend for three years in a row. I have found the hotel to be excellent in terms of facilities. The food was good with excellent choice. I was given a warm welcome on each occasion. Members of my family have stayed there, on my recommendation-and have returned every year. Friends of my son have stayed as well and have been more than pleased.
We shall return next year, if not before. Thank you, Suchada and Peter.

Had a two night stay with my wife last year. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice a welcome we had and because it was such a hot day the hostess offered us a cold drink immediately as she could see my wife was pregnant. The room was a lot bigger than expected and spotless. Would recommend this guest house to and small families or couples. See you again soon when we next visit Tenby.

The B&B itself was cheap, good cooked breakfast and a lovely lady serving it, the room needed an update and it wasn’t the cleanest however we were happy with what we paid for until our last day..

We would have rated higher however on the morning we were due to check out. We were in the middle of having breakfast when the landlady came over and confronted us about a hole we had apparently made in the net curtain in our room. We had no idea what she was talking about. She became very defensive and started showing us photos of it on her phone. When we told her we had no idea there was a hole and it’s wasn't caused by us she said that we would have to pay £25 to replace it. It was very embarrassing and totally inappropriate behaviour, not only were we in the middle of having breakfast, the room was full of other guests who were clearly embarrassed to be listening in on it. She should have waited until we checked out (an hour later) to raise this. We are both honest hard working professionals, if we had damaged something we would own up and pay for it.

We were mortified at being spoken to like that in front of other guests and it not only ruined our final breakfast in Tenby but it ruined the end of our holiday which we worked hard to pay for.

Myself and my husband have just spent 6 nights at the Marlborough hotel. It was wonderful. Suchada the owner is such a lovely lady, very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The room was brilliant with a sea view. Very clean with lots of space. The bed comfortable and spotlessly clean, maid service was daily too. The breakfast was amazing, with such a massive choice. Definitely a place to stay.

Just came back from a lovely 3 days staying at the Marlborough. We would definitely be returning. The breakfast here is amazing, so much choice! Fresh bowls of fruit all covered in cling film. A good range of cereals, pastries and cereal bars, Nutella honey and jams. A lovely fresh cooked breakfast , plenty of tea coffee and juice. They have thought of everything. We were given a cold drink when we arrived, always fresh fruit and chocolate as you walk through the front door. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great location. Such a lovely lady very thoughtful. Thankyou for a lovely stay, we didn’t want to leave. 😊
