The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and bright. Sweets and biscuits for guests and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding.

Lovely lady and partner were very friendly and helpful. Very nice area with a castle and country park plus a pub on the doorstep.

We stayed here last night and were very pleased with the amenities and the little extra touches ie Free slices of home made cake, jars of biscuits and jelly babies and then great coffee in the room too. The breakfast was amazing and no grease on the plate either. The host was friendly and helpful. Would book again!

Most definitely recommend. Especially if you're suffering from mobility issues, not entirely because of the accommodation. But the perfect location within a yard of my final destination, for NYE celebration.

Felt like I was on holiday, superb stay. Was well looked after, rooms were spacious and welcoming. The breakfast was incredible too, highly recommend!

Stayed at the lychgate for 2 nights. Very comfy beds, rooms nice and clean. Nice touches I.e home made cake left for us. Breakfast superb. Will definitely be staying here again

Bed was a bit small, you roll over you fall out. But everything else was amazing probsbly the best home cooked breskfast eve. Loved the way the table was layed out even a bowl of assorted berries with chopped u strawberries, service was amazing loved the staff, great room, loved the shower. Will definately stay again when im back in caldicot
