Stayed in room 6 for the night whilst carrying out some maintenance work at the local Tesco express. Very nice family run place. Nothing was too much trouble very relaxed felt like home. Lovely and clean, great shower / bath. Breakfast was available but turned down as I had an early start would recommend if your in the area thanks.

We picked this hotel as it was close to the ferry and needed a stopover on a two day journey so for us the location was good. The room was nice enough, but the people upstairs did disturb us stomping around with thin ceilings, so broken sleep and didn't feel refreshed the next day. It was the breakfast experience which put this hotel down. We found hair in one breakfast and undercooked egg on another. That is the memory which will stay with me about this hotel.

We stayed in room 14, which was an apartment. It was absolutely wonderful. We loved the place. The place was a bit creaky plus loud birds in the morning, other than that brilliant. We had our own kitchen, dining table and little living room area too

Fantastic place to stay. The hosts are amazing and can't do enough for you. Rooms are exceedingly good. Breakfast was fab.
This was the 2nd time we've stayed here and it won't be our last.

We arrived late off the ferry and left fairly early for a long drive home but we were met in the car park and directed to our room. Room 14 was spacious, clean and comfortable. We particularly liked the kitchen and lounge area which were unexpected. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. If we were in the area again, would definitely consider staying here.

We are a couple and stayed one night on the way to the ferry to Ireland. Stayed in room 7, a large room accessed by a outside spiral staircase. There was a double bed and a single bed, coffee and tea making and an en-suite.
Pros - very airy and light room (velux windows). Clean and well furnished. Well lit with electric lights, which were easy to read by (I mention because in my experience this is not always the case, for a 60+ yr old anyway). Tea and coffee making was supplemented, in this room, by a microwave, hob, fridge and washing up sink - so more like a studio. Plenty of plugs (20) and usb outlets (11). On-site free parking. Breakfast - Well presented and adequate for us - we were very happy with it. Owner was welcoming and pleasant throughout.
Cons - no evening food, though the owner booked a table for us in a local pub - about a mile away (25min walk).
Summary - a pleasant stay and we would use again.

A truly lovely place to stay, run by such a friendly couple. Stay for a work visit but would definitely stay when on holiday in the future.

We had a very comfortable two nights stay here. We had a dog friendly room, which was large, immaculately clean, with an ensuite bathroom, lashings of hot water for the bath and THE best, most powerful shower I've ever had!! Breakfast delivered to the room at the time requested, piping hot and delicious.
Mark was always very helpful, I think Jan was there when we arrived but it was very late and dark after the ferry trip and driving in Ireland, and trying to park the car safely with a trailer on, so we didn't communicate, sorry!
There's a cycle track right by the guest house for dog walking and we walked into the town along a very pretty wooded road in about half an hour.
This was my second visit here and hopefully won't be my last.
