Chet is a great teacher and very friendly.
His lessons are first class, he has taught me to play guitar with confidence and style in no time at all.
He's really good at tailoring the classes to my needs, so I can get the most of it. Knows his craft really well and has flexible lessons. I have a good laugh whilst being taught with great progress. I took up the instrument late in life and wished I took it up a lot earlier but even at my age the speed of the progress has been worth while. I would definitely recommend him. Five Stars

Chet is a fantastic tutor. He is especially strong at bringing your focus onto your technique and can highlight the smallest of adjustments that help make all the difference. His lessons are varied with time allocated to guitar exercises and learning songs but more importantly music theory even going as far as ear training to help make you a better and well rounded musician, not just a great guitarist. He’ll base the lessons around the music you are interested in and makes excellent use of tools such as google drive to share lesson notes and tablature. All round excellent tutor with heaps of knowledge from his music studies and real world experience of studio recording and performing live from his own band.

I would highly recommend Chet as a guitar teacher for anyone looking to learn (or take up a new fun hobby). His approach is encouraging and tailored towards the needs, preferences and learning style of the student. Learning guitar felt a little daunting to begin with, but Chet's teaching style and approach made the process fun and motivating. Over the course of a few months he's taught me songs which i thought would take me years to learn to play. The lessons comprise of a balance between music theory, practicing techniques to be a stronger guitarist and learning songs. His lessons are so enjoyable and he finds new ways of keeping it interesting. Often time flies really fast during a lesson and its shocking the amount you can actually learn in an hour. Definetely worth it!

Chet is a well educated young man. He loves music and it shows in his passion when teaching. Very flexible when it comes to setting a schedule and a very easy going and friendly person. He designs his teachings around the students taste of music and each lesson brings something new. Guitar theory is usually the boring side of learning the guitar but with Chet it’s more interesting simply because his passion and knowledge shines through every second of every lesson.

It’s also a joy to watch him play the guitar and can’t wait to get to a level where we can jam together.

I chose Chet because he responded really quickly to my initial enquiry. We really clicked when we met as Chet is a really nice guy and didn’t mind I was a total beginner. Three months later and I’m really pleased with my progress. Chet is an excellent teacher and has a professional learning approach which makes it easy to keep track of your practice and how well you are progressing. He begins by asking you about your musical preferences and your choice of musical direction such as rock or blues. Chet then develops your skills within your chosen music style or will take you off in different directions if you want to develop your skills. You will have a learning pathway which includes what to practise, the songs you’re studying and links to helpful online content. Chet makes extensive use of video to help your learning and encourages you to send them to him, which is easy, helpful and fun. Chet is also very responsive and will come back to you with comments on your videos quickly so you can get the most from the time between lessons. I would strongly recommend Chet to anyone who is looking for an experienced and skilled guitar teacher with an effective and enjoyable learning method. Lessons can be either online or COVID-19 friendly face to face. I found the face to face lessons really helped me make swift progress.

Chet is a brilliant teacher and an amazing guitarist. He is able to structure his lessons in a way that continuously challenges me, forcing me to improve whilst explaining new concepts in a way that is easy for me to grasp and put into practice. Chet is clearly passionate about all things music and this comes across in the way that he delivers the lessons. I've been taking lessons for the past couple of months with Chet and my playing has improved dramatically, as has my understanding of music theory.

I've played guitar on and off over the years self-taught, but never really took the jump to lessons until recently and Chet has already helped me to take my practicing and playing to the next level. His lessons really play to your strengths and interests in music, and vary from improving technique, understanding the 'why' behind certain skills, as well as dipping into music theory here and there to explain the core fundamentals of notes and chords. He's also been super flexible with lesson times, which is very handy for me having to work full time in the city. I've thoroughly enjoyed learning from Chet and would highly recommend him as a teacher!
