Jack Edwards Guitar Lessons

Jack is a brilliant teacher. He is patient and understanding. I was nervous to start with not being that musically minded and a complete beginner, but Jack made me feel at ease. I'm happy with the progress I've made in just a few sessions and enjoy practicing on my own as well as the lessons with Jack. The homework is a great way to remind you of what you've been doing in your lesson, keep track of your progress and also keeps you engaged. The videos he sends after lessons are also very usefull.
I would definitely recommend.

My Son Jamie has been having lessons with Jack for about 5 years. He is a great teacher who is easy to get on with, who plans each lesson, but is able and willing to alter the plan where required. For example if Jamie needs help with a particular guitar solo for a gig that he is doing, Jack will take the time to help and guide where needed. He is able to quickly identify issues and provide remedies to resolve. He has also given Jamie the confidence to tackle more complex songs that he may not have otherwise done. The key thing about Jack is that he is a gigging musician with a well known rock band which makes him current, so because he understands what students want to learn, he can adapt the tuition accordingly but also include the fundamentals that are needed to develop at the same time.
Jamie's lessons are on line but we do meet up at either one of Jack's gigs with Piston or if Jack has come to watch Jamie's band.
He is just a really nice guy.

Returning to formal guitar lessons after many years, I found Jack on Google after a quick search. Despite some reservations about having lessons online, I should not have worried. Jack does an quick check on ability and then is straight into tailoring a curriculum that suits you individually. This he then sends you, along with a little video lesson to help by way of a reminder. I would certainly recommend Jack to either beginners or more experienced guitarists.

I am a total newbie to learning any musical instrument and am at the very start of my journey. Jack has been great! A brilliant teacher, really patient, friendly and easy going. You get a plan of your lesson and a video of what you have learnt in that lesson to help you practice which is really helpful and Jack is contactable whenever you need help. Would highly recommend :)

Jack is a fantastic teacher. He helped me get back on track with my learning after time away from guitar and a few years of self-taught progress. Jack helped to reignite my love for the instrument. He explains things in patient, clear, simple terms to help you understand what you need to do and why, he has an encyclopaedic knowledge of songs in his repertoire and he is just a genuinely great teacher and person. Definitely recommended.

I've been having lessons with Jack for a couple of months now after not having had regular lessons for nearly three years. I was a little hesitant about lessons via Facetime, but they are working well. Jack is very patient and provides lesson plans, notes and videos after each lesson which are very useful and help with the practice before the next lesson. I certainly recommend Jack to anyone at any level or stage of learning guitar.

Jack is a great teacher and the way he sets his lessons out makes it easy to make progress. Obviously lessons are tailored to suit everyone’s abilities but as a beginner, Jack kept me engaged by setting out riffs and small parts of songs initially which helped to keep me interested when you haven’t played previously. His patience and friendly teaching style make every lesson enjoyable.

Jack is a brilliant teacher and a really friendly guy. When he was offering guitar lessons to music students at Newcastle-under-Lyme in 2018, I took a few lessons with him (I'd been playing guitar for 8-9 years at the time) and he gave me some useful tools to develop my skills further that I still utilise now. He really listened and catered to my style of playing and the areas I wanted to improve on. Highly recommended!
