I have been having lessons with Joe for a number of months now and am very impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. He is a very competent guitarist and has a very patient and structured way of teaching. My guitar playing has improved immensely under his guidance and I look forward to continuing my lessons into next year to continue this progress.

Joe has been teaching my daughter (13) guitar for about 8 months and has done a fantastic job. She really enjoys the lessons and has progressed quickly. Teaching kids isn't easy but Joe balances technical work and the progression of musical difficulty that keeps them interested and enthusiastic.

Joe is a patient and highly talented guitar teacher. He has been teaching my son for over a year and the progress we have seen has been incredible. Not only is he sincerely a very talented educator he brings out the best in our timid son and engages him throughout the lesson. Can’t recommend enough.

Joe is a fantastic guitar teacher - very professional, knowledgeable, and lots of patience (even when I forget to practice). I learn something new every session and look forward to the next lesson. Highly recommend his teaching !!!

I loved having lessons with Joe, he has helped to teach me how to play guitar and learn simple chords up to complex melodies and riffs over the course of 8 years. Through the lockdown he also continued with online lessons and adapted superbly to the change in style and we were able to continue lessons without a drop in teaching effectiveness.

I would also recommend Joe to anyone who is looking at doing any guitar grading as he has helped me to obtain good scores for my grades.

In addition to this, Joe is very friendly and know how to deal with people of all ages for learning guitar.

Overall, I would say that Joe Badger is an amazing teacher and anyone who chooses him as their tutor has made the right decision and will definitely gain improvement/ finetuning of his/her style.

My 9 year old son started lessons with Joe in January 2021 and he absolutley loves it ! Joe is a fantastic, dedicated and patient teacher. Even though lessons are online my son is very engaged and has made great progress. Joe is really encoraging which has helped my son a lot who has already started to read and play music. Joe 's communication is spot on too as he sends me the zoom link and detailed music notes well in advance of the lesson. I would really recommend Joe! Aditi

Joe is a remarkable teacher. I have been attending his lessons (currently via ZOOM) weekly since May 2021, I could play a few basic chords but had no technique in strumming, keeping time, awareness of what I was doing, finger placement bad habits etc. It was the perfect time to make the most of Joes structured style for me. The lessons are 45 minutes with a strong focus on developing weaknesses first, so for me it was keeping time and on the beat but its something Joe has patiently been mentoring me through. Getting this foundation right and through playing the "simpler songs" increasing the BPM to hone quicker changes has made it easier for me to start looking at tabs and more advanced rhythm sections. Giving me confidence to challenge myself and help me develop my own bearing and personality on guitar.
The longevity sell for me with Joe is his openness to focus on what you need (when learning guitar so much will crop up: slash chords, how to barre, what certain symbols mean , general guitar tips and tricks etc) so while he has a lesson plan, he is happy to throw it out the window if there is a specific thing we can work on together that will benefit my overall guitar ability.
It's a pleasure to listen to Joe on all things guitar and he has the patience of a saint with me, when most teachers would've thrown a stool at me by now.
