Vanilla Hair and Beauty Studio

I had been a regular at Vanilla for over a year & the hair cuts have always been fantastic, especially with Becka. However I got hair extensions last year which was a total mess, they cost me a lot of money and then found out the lady cut half of them out when she tried to cut them into my hair! I had to go back and another lady there sorted them out, but I wasn't offered any money back for the wasted extensions that I bought. I got my hair dyed last year and it wasn't the colour I was asked for and I wasn't too impressed and I had to go back and complain and they dyed again. Recently I went back and asked for a warm chestnut colour and was horrified when I walked out with bright red hair!! Wasn't the colour I asked for at all and was really upset. As this was the third time I have been very disappointed I thought for the first time I would write a bad review. Like I said, the cuts have always been good and when I have had highlights I have been very happy, but I will never go back again now after this last experience! I tried dying my hair 3 times to change it and ended up having to strip my hair!! I can't believe how wrong the colour was compared to what i asked for! Total mess!!

I went to vanilla to have my hair done last week and it was a lovely service, lots of friendly welcome faces. All of the juniors were really helpful too.
I also left my phone at reception, one of the stylist come and chased me to my car to return it.
over all would defiantly recommend this salon and will also be retuning.

What a great salon , first visit last week and had an amazing service from Nicola and the team. Nothing was too much trouble , juniors so professional as were all the staff . Definitely will be back. Thank you so much I love my new hair colour .

Had a complete colour change and a restyle cut and blow dry. All the staff were polite and professional. Jamie I love my hair and have had many compliments. The blow dry lasted two days and I’m able to achieve the style myself. Thank you. I will definitely return.

I have never been to a salon with such poor customer service, i struggled to get in and out with my pram/child and even though on exit 2 girls at reception and 1 standing at wash basin, no one helped to hold the door. The 2 hair cuts for myself and my child ended up being rushed to the point where i asked if i could pop to the toilet but they were expecting a client in the next 5 minutes so i decided to hold on. Really poor service! My hair cut was good my my child's was a very badic haircut which took ages, u can not expect a 2 year old to sit with their head down for 30 minutes. Very bad experience!

I have been going to Vanilla for years now and loved the look of how they do balayage. I wanted something really natural that blended into my own colour. Nicola asked me exactly what I wanted and the results are stunning. She is such a brilliant stylist and really listened to what I wanted. I would highly recommend Vanilla for colouring or if you just want a cut - they really care and prices are great!!

Had my first hair appointment since lockdown and I felt very comfortable in the salon. The staff are doing everything they can to ensure everyone’s safety. Masks, visors and social distancing all in place. Im really pleased with my hair, Nicola does such a great job with my colour. I highly recommend the salon! Amazing! 👍🏻

I was recommended this salon by many people when I moved to the area six months ago. The three stylists I use, Hannah, Jamie and Tegan are all excellent, friendly, professional and punctual. They also have a wonderful beautician, Oana. I'm very satisfied with the service I receive and would definitely recommend the salon. My hair has never looked or felt so good!
