I came for my first ever system on Tuesday and was a little nervous on what to expect. But from the first moment I entered I was made to feel so special by everyone who spoke to me. This place is crazy busy but you are made to feel like the only one by the team who work with you. Kelsey talked me through how the system went on and was super friendly and informative. Then Danielle came along and made me feel like the old me for the first time in forever. She got the colour and style of my hair perfectly and was just incredible. Two days later I’m back for my first wash and Niamh was so informative and made me feel like I’ll be able to do it and then my style was finished by Danielle. The team are incredible and what this place does is nothing short of a miracle. Am just totally overwhelmed and excited for the future. Thank you!xx

It is very expensive at £2,400 so expectations are set high.

The hair changes dramatically after first wash.

Once it’s on you can’t take it off and it becomes quite itchy and irritating.

I would recommend seeing and touching what the hair is like after first wash.

Understand how much styling is required.

Don’t get whilst having chemo wait until after.

Don’t try to get a style of hair that is dramatically different from your natural look.

I did have the system for a short while, it was amazing. I felt fabulous. However, the initial expense and maintenance is so expensive. I had to have it taken away as I could not afford to maintain it every 3 months and then replace after 18months for life.
I was shocked to find my hair was left so thin, I look worse than when I began the treatment.
More than 5 years later, it has never recovered.
In reflection, I really cannot see how such a heavy hair system, that is sewn onto a cap, that is attached to your own hair, cannot weaken one’s own hair root.
Sadly my confidence has gone.

OH LA LA BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
Thank you all so much for making my hair so fabulous ,I honestly did not think this could be possible...

Lucinda Ellery London is The best team I ever seen professionally wise and friendly wise at a hairsalon ,I mean Daniella the sweetest ! She explained to me every detail during the consultation , I thank her for being so patient and answering all of my questions at anytime when I needed her.

Then at the salon, Natasha looked after me and installed the system she was so adorable and so focused on making it look perfect for me ! I really did notice her professionalism ! Thank you !!
Then came DIMO MY SUNSHINE!!! OMG he is so gorgeous ,kindhearted funny and he was willing to do his very best for my case, and I was confident about him , we were chatting so much and I absolutely loved his vibe ,he made me feel at ease and made my hair incredibly magnificent with the colour, the length, the layers ,everything is so perfect I could not be happier . Absolute bliss !

I recommend it 100000% to anyone having any issue with their hair . (I have been to many salons worldwide and in my opinion You won’t find a better salon than Lucinda Ellery)

update: I am updating this nearly 2 years after having my system, and I have changed from 5 star to 3 star. When I was a new customer, and when they asked me to write this review, what I have written below is completely accurate. However as time went on, the service and quality received declined rapidly. I have left the salon crying as the staff belittled and made me feel like such an inconvenience. I spoke to the manager at the end and I was told that the person had been there many years and they probably didn’t mean it. After writing a letter of complaint, they did offer me a a free styling next time I went, but my confidence took a huge knock and the salon is so inconvenient to get to, it was empty compensation. The quality of the hair used has decreased substantially over the time I had the system. I had several parts replaced over time, but they lasted less and less long. When I first went, I was very happy and my confidence improved massively. The last 6 months, the way I was treated by rude staff and managers who lacked managerial skills, for poor quality materials that don’t last, my confidence was eaten away. The system looks awesome for the first 3 weeks, but it slips very quickly, and I was having to do ever dramatic hairstyles and wear hats to hide the obvious hairline. So after 18 months, I removed the system myself as every time I left the salon the staff made.

I only leave 3 stars due to when I was a new customer I was very happy. Once I was on their books, they didn’t seem to cate.

I got my first system in February this year. I was quite anxious going into the first appointment because, although I had had several phone consultations and done loads of research, I didn't really know what to expect. The London studio is beautiful. As soon as I arrived, I felt like I was amongst friends who just wanted to help me. I spent a very long day there, but left feeling more beautiful than I have ever felt. There hair is stunning and I have so much confidence every day. It is a lot of money, but completely worth it. The staff have been fantastic with the way they talked to me and coached me and have supported me with advice since. I highly recommend

Reference photo vs what I ended up with. Heart broken, ruined hair and a long journey ahead to fix it. Won’t go into the details of what happened here but please be aware.

I first visited 2 years ago for consultation. I was not ready at this time. Contacted the salon again and made an appointment for interlace system. I have to say, in the mist of covid, service was really good. I had a lovely technician who knew what she was doing. I was so calm, i nodded off! On the plus, I was finished by 4pm.

Im pleased with the colour match and the overall outcome.

Once complete , its a bit of a shock to have hair! Be kind to yourself, I felt self concious.

The stylist was amazing. Take their advice! So im back tomorrow for wash and advice on styling. Will have a bit more cut off. Advice from stylist, give yourself some time to adjust.

Its a long proceess, once signed up you have a commitment! Its not cheap, but self esteem usually comes at a price.

Everyone was so kind, and all ladies attending for treatment were lovely. Theres no stigma and certainly everyone is happy to be there.

Ive had a happy hair day and will embrace the positive new me!

Thank you for a truly positive experience

So I'm back today for my second adjustment. The first 5 weeks I remained conscious, seeing colleagues, neighbours, and family. The next 5 weeks have been better, gaining confidence. I still challenge myself about appearance, gwad knows why! I didnt take on the maintence, its been years since I bothered with my hair. Ive learnt how to dry and style theres a knack to it. You know, if anyone is thinking about this process, be sure or you will find fault and not like it. I was ready, by concious. I really really really like the new me. Yes, its my hair coz I brought it! Wishing you all a 'happy hair day'
