I went as a model to get a full head highlights done (not for free) and after a final wash I was asked to dry my hair (what?!) as a hairdresser simply mentioned that I could do it better than she would and It is not her job.(she has worked for 2 years already) .I am so disappointed for this kind of “service”. Others past by and watching , doing nothing, so embarrassing. ! I have been as a model before in other salons and the trainees always did such a great job trying to impress and I got done colouring, hair cut, blow dry and styling much cheaper than I paid in this salon. never again even for free, the colour came out not what I asked , yellowish.. I would not recommend this salon. This place is about quantity not quality!. I appreciate it is a trainee however her work in progress was not monitored at all and I am usually quite relaxed and patient and ready to wait as much as it takes . I would get a better result in an average salon in Shoreditch to be honest . I went with a frizzy almost dry hair without seeing my highlights at all the worst money spent ever .

13th April - I feel the need to write a review today because I wouldn’t want any other customer to experience the poor service I’ve received today. The treatment I have paid for is a balayage for approximately £390; it was 100% NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I’m not one to usually write reviews, having worked in a customer service industry myself, it’s important to do so. My colourist was Saskiia. On my initial consultation, we discussed in detail what I wanted, my history with bad experiences of balayages and I was told that I was able to achieve the hair I wanted in one sitting. This was not the case. Saskiia was lovely and I loved how she had blended the hair which was gorgeous. However, the tone we wanted to achieve, didn’t come through by the end of the day, and I went home with hair that almost looked like nothing was done, considering we bleached my hair. Saskiia and I both agreed for me to return after a few washes at home to see the colour come through, and so I did. The colour washed off, yet the tone was not right and too warm.

13th May - I returned and I came for my 2nd consultation and to redo my hair. This is where I received the UNEXPECTED and POOR customer experience. Once I had sat down, I was surrounded by 2 or 3 other Stylists as well as Saskiia to advice what is needed to achieve my hair, This may be intimidating for some, yet, I understand that it’s important to get all opinions to make an overall decision with the next step. I appreciated that Saskiia was reassuring me once toning my hair again, that it will look good after. After blow drying it, again, by a Trainee using her fingers, I video called my friend to discuss my hair. We both felt the same way about how my hair needs more pieces of balayage under the hair as it’s almost not blended all over. I’ve paid for a service where I expect the full look I want, yet I have received half the look I wanted and I went home without the service of having a blow-out. At this stage, it was then where I experienced the unexpected poor service. Saskiia told me she “doesn’t have the time and doesn’t feel confident to do my hair’, 'I'm not touching it' multiple times, but then she also said 'no one walks around showing underneath your hair so just leave it'. At this point I felt gaslighted. It was as if I was to accept this is the look I should settle with. This is unacceptable, especially when other Stylists speak out loud from across the salon who was colouring another customer telling Saskiia to 'move on!'. Customer’s watched me as if I was “that” customer who complains, which I am not. For ANYONE, this is EMBARRASSING, and I can’t imagine if other women are being treated like this as if being picked on. If customers have paid for a service to have a look they want to achieve, it should be achieved, but not only this, they should not have to experience being 'picked on' and gaslighted, pressuring clients to settle with the hair they don’t feel 100% happy in, and speaking to client's on behalf of them. Saskiia also said 'you can’t even seen it, you’re just picking things out'. At the end of this experience, I wanted to share this considering this is supposed to be the “FLAGSHIP” store. For anyone with virgin hair and wants multi tones, I would not recommend this place. Saskiia does such a great blend, however, with the attitude near the end, sadly it damages the image of a person altogether. (I’m sure we’ve all experienced this in our lives). I share this as I wouldn’t want other women to experience what I have done today, being left as if their look is not complete as well as feeling the pressure from Stylist’s and customers looking. So, take it from me, women with virgin hair, go elsewhere and make sure you’re able to have two sittings, or clarify that you can return with no hard feelings. And for women with coloured hair, I’m sure it’ll turn out lovely, yet be wary of the service

I went to this flagship saloon for hair colouring and blow dry. Very good service by specialists: both the colourist and the stylist did a fantastic job.
However the junior staff, who help at various points, were very bad. I was greeted by a young female who looked a bit confused, led me to a station which wasn’t cleaned after the previous customer. She forgot to bring in the robe, went back and then handed it over to me asking me to put it on myself (no help was offered). She then applied protecting oil for half of my hair line. I had to do it myself for the rest.
Another young female was washing my hair. She didn’t clean it properly after colour, then used shampoo only once (as a result of which, the next day morning I had a lot of dye residual on my pillow case) and didn’t clean my hairline properly, leaving a lot of dye. Again, I had to do it myself.
Overall 3*, good senior staff while junior staff requiring a lot of training… these young people will become future specialists, please train them well on what a good customer service is 🙏

Daniel Galvin salon has been my hairdresser of choice for years now. I have complete faith in the stylists and colourists and have never been disappointed. The staff always make you feel welcome and they are experts. I don't let anyone else colour my hair!

Really unhappy and regret coming to this salon. Went to get the aura smoothing treatment which lightened my hair colour significantly, so on top of paying £400 for the treatment I was asked to pay £70 for a toner as a result of their treatment. To add to this, I was left with red hair when my hair is brunette. After contacting the salon, i had no response nor a resolution and have been quoted another £410 by another salon to rectify the hair colour.

After letting the salon know this, they do not want to know.

I recently moved to London from the states and was stressed about finding a new hair dresser. I had my haircut by Stephanie today and I am blown away! She did such an amazing job, was so friendly, and clearly has been doing this for a long time. I’m so happy to have found her. Worth the $$$

Loved my experience here. Sykora was so lovely from the get go - professional messages beforehand and asking me and making sure I was involved with her plans for my hair. Even asked me what type of blow-dry i’d prefer and let me live my 90s voluminous hair dreams!
Great overall, I would recommend Sykora Slater as a stylist - left me relaxed throughout!

I had the most unprofessional experience I ever encountered in a salon in 20 years of colouring my hair. Arrived 10min early, sat at the stylist "seat" 10 min late, another 15min pass by and finally Chelsey turns up. I explain what I would like for my hair, highlights and regrowth and with such an arrogant non apologetic manner tells me "oh I have no time to do all that today, we are so busy, maybe you should come back"? I could not believe it and on top she was so rude! She offered to do the regrowth and a couple of highlights... considering nothing at this salon cost less than £300 I declined. I took a day off, drove into London to be told I can't have my hair done? The manager was at least trying to help and agreed to repay the congestion charge and parking charges. So the 1 star is for him! It's the first time I had such poor service there, Heather normally does my hair and she is lovely so if you still decide to go, just don't book with Chelsey!
