Ayhan is fantastic ; he created for me a hyper-trendly highlights. He is a truly professional colourist! I'm very happy, can't recommend enough!

I have been a long term and loyal client to the main stylist Ahmet.
However I have become bitterly disappointed. My hair is coloured as well as highlighted.
He suggested I had keratin treatment to improve the condition of my hair, without warning me that the highlights would change colour. The change was dramatic! They were yellow!! But I don’t complain easily. He knows that.
Anyway, I paid the full amount of 200£ plus 55£ extra for special sulphate free shampoo, and went back three days later for the application of toner , to make the highlights less yellow .
I made it clear I wanted my hair with highlights, although not yellow.Definitely he did not communicate with me that he was planning to cover my whole hair with a dark colour, that was his amateurish way of ‘fixing’ my highlights!!

When the assistant stylist started applying toner all over my hair, mixing it with the darker ( root ) colour I asked again , insisting that I wanted my highlights!!
Ahmet , the senior stylist, ‘reassured’ me saying it’s going to be ok!!

The truth is - you guessed it, it was not ok, far from
My hair, from vibrant highlighted long hair, has been made dark mousy colour, no highlights, a complete waste of 250+ 100£. A total of 350£ down the drain plus my hair colour is ruined.
I am a doctor , working hard to earn this cash.
When I called the salon straight after leaving to complain, I got no apology, neither did Ahmet take responsibility for his mistakes. No
He said ‘ I am trying to help you , darling’!!
Completely unapologetic.
He said ‘Keratin is done now, forget it!! Wash your hair once or twice and see how you go’!!!
Unbelievable.
I have never written a negative review about anyone.
But this is outrageous. Plus I have ( had ) lovely hair. Not getting used to having it ruined!!!
Do not risk going there for anything but the simplest thing. I wouldn’t.
I would be lucky enough to get an apology, let alone get my money back
And as for my hair .. it would take a while before I trust a hairdresser again!!
PS Following numerous phone calls to the owners of the salon, and despite their promises that the manager will give me a call, there has been no phone call and no meaningful gesture of apology.
They have written a response to my review in order to be seen to be apologetic.
However, the only thing I am left with is completely ruined ‘beige’ hair colour, no highlights, and no real possibility to fix my hair colour without chemically treating it which after keratin , ruins it!!
Belsize hair, if you are a decent honourable business, you should refund me the 250£ for the keratin treatment which ruined my colour.
I am still awaiting for the manger to do that. As for going to the salon, I wouldn’t trust them with my hair- once the trust is broken …
But will you please at least refund me the cost of the ‘treatment’ that ruined my hair ???

Very happy with my haircut and the service in general. Aiden is very charismatic with a great knowledge in haircuts. It's a long session, about an hour long, in which he carefully cut my hair to the highest standards, meticulously going though it to perfection and following all my instructions. The price is very reasonable to the high quality of the service which also included a hair wash before and after, some tips and a nice chat. They also offered something to drink and cloak storage. The salon looks very modern and professional.
My second time was with Ahmet, a very skilful hairdresser who cut my hair exactly how I like it in just half an hour. His experience is shown clearly in the way and speed he uses his scissors, together with precision and care for a perfect outcome. If you are in a hurry and prefer a quicker cut, the extra £5 is totally worth it.

I had a lovely experience here today… the hair dresser was excellent, very experienced and gave me exactly what I wanted! He and the rest of the staff were very kind and created a nice atmosphere, even offered drinks. Prices very reasonable, would recommend to anyone in need of a hair cut :)
