on the day I had my hair done, I complained to the salon as the roots looked a way too dark and far away from my request of going lighter. They've tried to convince me that:
it was the light in the salon
It was the lighter ends that made my roots look darker
So I left the salon thinking that it might have been the light in the salon. Back home I realised that it was just awful
I went back in the salon and spoke to them. After speaking to 3 people (still trying to convince me that that was an amazing colour) - the manager finally decided to book an appointment for me to sort my hair out. he mentioned that it was a 2 and half hour appointment.
I went yesterday full of hopes, NO COMPLAINT was raised then.
As soon as I sit down, the hairdresser tells me that I'm booked for an hour only and for HALF head of highlights.
I was quite shocked and I go to the receptionist asking her why only half head was being rectify rather than the whole lot? After a bit of argument, finally they agree on doing my whole head and to do the schedule 2+ hours appointment.
Forget the bad work as it can happen. forget the time wasted as it was a chance for them to rectify things but the whole experience was awful.
the receptionist even told me that I was wasting my appointment time of only one hour by arguing in the reception that I wanted my whole head sorted, not half.
also, only after I had posted and send my complaint to HOB (including that I wasn't offered a cup of coffee, water or anything), Finally the receptionist comes to me all nicely asking if I wish to have a drink (that was at 12.30 (I was in the salon from 10.45)
the same receptionist that a moment before that she had told me to RELAX....
Making me feel like I was wrong by complaining or that by giving me the full refund all would have gone away it wasn't right.
this is when I decided to post my experience online
I've raised a complaint with the HOB head office and asked them to look into CCTV cameras as a backup to my complaint.
With this I'm just warning you - Do not pay if you are not happy - sit down and make a plan with the manager, don't let them convince you. if you don't leave happy then you're not happy.
the whole thing was super upsetting and unacceptable
Just make sure you get treated as you should, this post is to make sure that this won't happen again.
They had a chance to rectify and they messed this up too.
Not an experience anyone would want to have. if you do then be my guest and go ahead to Hob Salons - No need to put your negativity down here. I will just block anything that is irrelevant or clearly backing up a friend in the salon.
I've no interest in posting this if not to make sure that other clients will be treated differently and that the salon will make sure this won't happen again
I always receive compliments whatever style or colour he does for me ( I’ve had long , short, red, pink and even pulled up for my wedding )
