Lovely friendly hair and beauty salon in leyland the team are fab, cannot do enough for you. Debbie on makeup is excellent, she really listens and goes above and beyond to make the make up as you want it. Free wifi too!

Had my nails done by Debbie. She has done my BIAB a few times now. They’re growing really well and I’ve never had any problems with them lifting. She’s super friendly and I’ll definitely be back. Thank you 💗

Attended appt today, pleased with my haircut, felt like i could relax withouth making silly conversations..

Last minute appointment as I stupidly messed with my hair! The staff were all so lovely and welcoming the lady who did my hair was amazing so friendly and understanding she did an amazing job of my hair and made me feel 100x better would highly recommend!

Short version: Great salon, spoiled by the owner. Poor organisation, bad communication and appalling customer service. Made to feel bullied and humiliated on the day of a family funeral.

It’s with huge disappointment that I write this review for Voie Leyland. My first appointment was great and so I decided to book in for regular roots. I organised the appointments on Messenger with Vicky, the owner, who kindly gave a discount on the bulk booking with full payment in advance.

I turned up to the first appointment in Leyland to be met by the stylists with blank faces… turns out Vicky had booked me in at Garstang. When I said I couldn’t travel there, they squeezed me in and did a great job. Then onto payment for the bulk appointments - the manager hadn’t been told anything so I showed the messages, paid the amount and all sorted. Already the issues of poor organisation and communication were present but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I also messaged Vicky again on Messenger to let her know about the appointment mix up and that I’d paid ahead, I didn’t get a response.

My second root appointment was where it all fell apart, a complete disaster. Whilst sat waiting in the stylist’s chair, Vicky came over to tell me I had underpaid and owed a huge amount of money for my appointments - 2.5x more to be precise!! She’d worked it all out on the back of an envelope and told me that I’d only paid for the roots, not a cut and blow dry, and I owed another +£155 across the 4 appointments. I was shocked. She was trying to charge me for hair cuts which I’d never asked for and it was put across as all my fault. After showing Vicky the messages on Messenger, reaffirming the price, it was clear she’d made a mistake when pricing the appointments. The discussion wasn’t pleasant, and despite highlighting the confusion and mistake she’d made, and that today wasn’t the best day for me to try and resolve the issue due to a family funeral in just a few hours, she kept pushing.

By this point I’d reached my limit, feeling very blindsided and overwhelmed, and upset at the upcoming family funeral, I agreed to go ahead with this one appointment and not the rest. We had a plan and for the moment everything was sorted.

However, this is when her husband chimed in with his 2p worth. He wouldn’t stop and kept repeating what Vicky had said. Raising his voice at me, pushing more and more, it felt like I was being bullied. I asked Vicky ‘Why is he shouting at me?’ She didn’t reply. I told him about the family funeral in a few hours and his reply ‘Why do you keep mentioning the funeral? IT’S NOT MY PROBLEM!!’

Wow.

I left the stylist’s chair and went to the counter to get my refund, my coat and leave, and they both kept talking at me. No empathy at all. I was told about all their happy customers and that they do have empathy for their customers, my reply ‘Not me and not just now though it seems’. The only reason I hadn’t left is because no one brought my coat and in that time I was assured the stylists would look after me if I stayed. I agreed to stay, as before, but then Vicky had the audacity to back-charge me for the first appointment to rectify her mistake!

After Vicky and her husband left, I sat in the chair in tears, trying to get myself together after the upset of what had just happened. All the stylists came to say how sorry they were and how bad they felt for what had happened. They couldn’t be more apologetic, suggesting I rebooked my next appointments when Vicky wasn’t around.

Needless to say I won’t be returning. I speak with my feet and will spend my hard earned money with someone who deserves it.

I’m extremely disappointed that I was made to feel like an idiot, bullied and ripped off. I’ve waited a couple of weeks to see whether Vicky would be in touch with an apology, but alas, that hasn’t happened.

Although this is hard to write, and quite upsetting to relive how I was treated and on such a sensitive day, I do realise that my experience was more than likely a complete one-off. But nevertheless, it still happened.
