I first came here for a haircut with a groupon voucher intending to have my waist length hair cut to boy short length. The people were incredibly friendly and when I went in I was offered tea or coffee. The stylist was a guenuinely chatty friendly person and before my hair was cut she asked a lot of questions about what I wanted, and where I wasn't sure she told me several options that she thought would look good. The end result was amazing, I has not quite shoulder length hair and she clearly knew what she was doing.

I've been back several times since, and had a cut by a couple of different stylists there, and never been less than thrilled with the results.

I've been going here for years and always come out happy all the staff are friendly and helpful. My hairdresser fits me in at short notice if I some times forget my appointment and she always listens. I highly recommend you take a visit if your looking for a new place to get your hair done 😊

I had my hair cut at this place today by a male stylist (on tuesday). I was deceived by 2 stylists there. After the hair cut, male stylist told me that my haircut cost £18. I asked him for a student discount (which is actually 20%), then he charged me £16. I asked him why it's £16, when 20% out of £18 is £14.40. Guess what he said then. He said that his haircut costs £22. But in the beginning he said £18! Then the female stylist, who was sitting next to him, told me that I booked appointment by phone and that phone appointment costs more than walk in. But I didn't see this kind of information on their website. Nothing is written on their website that phone appointment costs more than walk in. Then she took the price list out of the reception table and hid it. What kind of disrespectful staff work there. Try to deceive the client on the spot just to charge more. Don't suggest this place to students, as they try to do everything in order to avoid giving you 20% discount.

Sweeneys is a very friendly, professional salon that I always enjoy visiting. I've been having my hair cut and HD brows done by Georgia for years and I am always delighted with the results. I would definitely recommend Sweeneys!!

A reasonable service is offered here for men. This review is from the perspective of the price paid, 18.00 for a haircut and wash. The cut was satisfactory, nothing more. The ladies are socialable and pleasent

Great salon in the centre of town which we have used for years. Friendly and talented stylists who provide a wide range of up to date services including HD Brows.
We have used Sweeneys mainly for cut & blowdries, highlights, straightening treatments, HD Brows and pre -Prom styling.

Really happy with the services at this hair dressers. Twice myself and mother have gone down and was able to get an appointment for the same day.

Prices have gone up a lot! Wouldn't mind paying extra if it was justified by the service.
Seems to be under new management, shame as have had to find a new salon.
