Terry did such a brilliant job on my cut and colour for me before my wedding day, I was super impressed with the service! He took the time to talk through the colour options with me which made me feel really comfortable and confident (when you have had bad experiences before, this means the world!) So pleased to have this as my local salon, the friendly atmosphere just tops it off 👍 Thank you!

I had a wash and cut with Louise, she is very friendly, she gave me tips on how to style my curly hair, she gave an amazing hair cut which made my curls look much curlier and she recommended products to use on curly hair. She is the first person in years who has cut my hair the way I like it.

Great first experience with Marina, she really knew her stuff and gave me the confidence to have a little bit more of a restyle than I was expecting, and I am really happy with my new cut!
Nice little added touch being offered a glass of wine on a Saturday afternoon, can’t argue with that!

Will be rebooking with her in the future.

Was here in about early 2020/2021 so very late to review. Would not do anything to my hair except *expensive* hair treatments that they didn't give me a cost of when they offered it. I wanted to get something crazy and dye my whole head of hair or get a perm and had researched haircare for both of those styles, but was routinely talked out of it saying I have hair people would pay for and that I didn't style my current hair, but I didn't style it because I hadn't had a haircut in 3 years and didn't know how to find out what it needed.
Kept giving me treatments that left my hair feeling thin and my scalp feeling really itchy. I let them bc I thought they were professionals and thought if they weren't telling me the price it couldnt be that expensive! Until it came to paying and it would be well over £100 and there was only a small trim and a load of hair treatments, but was never really told what my hair needed except for their expensive shampoos and conditioners, the expensive diffusers and straighteners they used and to come back in a few weeks for more treatments. Never left with a haircut I wanted or any hair colour I wanted. Just treatments and an expensive blow out and style. I had to figure out for myself that I had dry brittle curly hair, found home treatments I could do and never went back.

LOVED this salon so much! Louise is a genius and thoroughly explained what the best color would be for me, what the results of bleach would do to my hair, and how to restore my hair after years of using box dye on myself. Louise really took the time to help me vision the end result of my coloring balayage and did an incredible job. My hair looks and feels so great and I can’t thank her enough! Thanking you and Billy for your kindness and I can’t wait to come again in December !

I booked an appointment with the senior stylist as it was my first time in the salon. I explained to him I needed a hairstylist who would talk through the haircut and communicate with me every step of the process as I am anxious due to having bad haircuts in the past.

I asked for graduating layers on the front of my face and had specifically asked for the front to sit below my chin . He cut the the layer without double checking if it was my desired length… I left with it being above my jaw on one side. Not what I had asked.

The front of my hair was cut whilst wet into layers which isn’t usual as a hairdresser should know that hair sits differently when dry especially straight layered hair .
He also didn’t cross-check my hair to see if the layers were matching.
I left with the right side completely different to the left feeling very disappointed.

I felt as if he rushed my hair and didn’t give it the attention to detail. Not worth the standard senior price of £67.
I went back and another lady offered to fix it however it has been cut so short that it cannot be fixed .ended up being refunded .

Love love love this place. It's not just going for a hair cut, it's an experience. Every single person is friendly, welcoming and my kind of 'normal'!! I could stay all day!!!!

Louise Hadley is my hairdresser at Rush Chelmsford. I highly recommend her skills with colouring, highlights, blow drying and haircuts. She gives great advice on how to look after your hair and great conversation whilst you get your hair done.
