It is cash payment only, but come on people, there is so many cash machines on the high street...
Middle aged woman that came out the back looking like she was inconvenienced to cut my hair.
She demanded she needed to straighten my hair in order to cut it. I have the straightest hair you can imagine. Also it is bleached blonde at the ends so using a hair straightener with no heat product on dry hair, I was not impressed to further damage my hair when all I needed was a haircut. She did that only so she could bump the price up by £10!
The attitude was bad and it's my first time ever having had a haircut standing up!? My hair is just below my shoulders. And she used mens clippers to give me a broom cut!! Unbelievable!
Oh and also they don't take card. Cash only! Dodgy business!
Avoid at all costs!
I didnt want to write a review but I tried to send them an email and I had no response so I decided to share this with everyone. Below is the email that I sent with my experience and which didnt get any reply.
Good afternoon,
I hope you are well.
I didn’t want to write this email after my visit last Saturday at the Sutton branch but the state of my hair and head has lead me to it.
As I said, I attended last Saturday to the Sutton High street Branch. I arrived there at 10am and was not called until 10:45. Understandable as this is a walk in and no need of appointments.
A gentleman with a hat was the one doing my hair. I didn’t wash my hair in the last whole week so the bleach wouldn’t hurt as much and it would take better the colour. The gentleman asked me what I wanted and I showed him pictures from the other times I was there and I also showed him the codes of the bleach that the man that I think it was the owner, wrote of the loyalty card for next time visit, anyone would know what it was put in my hair.
This gentleman asked me how much I paid and I said that £30 the two times I have been there. He seemed stranger and told me that I would need to lay more because of my big roots, which I understood. He also said that next time I had to come sooner. How am I going to come sooner if it was lockdown? If the hairdressers were open, I would have come sooner of course!
He started with the bleach and left it for almost two hours. Didn’t put a cap on my hair. Then he said I need it again. When he put it again, I didn’t feel he put it in all the areas as before. I didn’t say anything because he was supposed to be the professional.
He then put the toner and and the end he did the hair cut.
I also told him that the other two times, they shaved my sides first and after putting the bleach, they tidied it up. He said that we would do the cut at the end. He didn’t understand what I asked him for a cut but he agreed as if he did. He started cutting at the back like he was doing a bush.
At the end, he showed me and I am not sure if it was for the light but I thought that it was ok.
He charged me £60. And I left the site at around 14.30. I was there since 10 am.
My surprise when I got home and my partner saw me. She told me that my hair had orange patches and took some photos and videos. It was horrible. The haircut was also disgusting and uneven. (Photos attached.) I also have a video but it’s too heavy to attach here.
We had plans that afternoon which I had to cancel because I had to return to the hairdressers and show them what it was done to me.
The woman that I think it was the team leader or manager was surprised that I was left in that stated so they offered to correct. A really nice lady tried to fix it. It wasn’t a great job but she did her best and it was fine. The problem is that I had to have bleach again in my head/hair and it stated burning more.
I didn’t get a refund because they said that they charged me correctly and at the end they fixed it.
I left the hairdressers at 17:30.
I spent the whole Saturday there and ended up with a very sore scalp. It was like someone had cut the top of my head and I couldn’t feel it anymore.
I let it go but my surprise today is that parts of my scalp have been bleeding and are sore and had wounds because of the corrosive bleach put in my hair. I think this is outrageous and very disappointing. I am not writing a review yet as I wanted to give the chance for a senior person to read this and because the other two times I went to Whoop, I was happy with the result. But this time, the experience has been awful and I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
If I don’t hear from you over the weekend, I will have to transfer this message to social media and write a review to at least warn people. I am really sorry but this is how I feel after this awful experience.
Nonetheless to say that my scalp and my head are in a bit of pain due to this burns.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
