Friendliest Chiswick hair salon/Thai massage centre.

Always a pleasure to get your hair cut by Teaw and her team at Thai Retreat. Friendly reception and excellent results for hair cuts. The massage centre above is excellent - ask for Eva to get the most professional and relaxing massage there is. She can do a hard sports massage or the softest touch for those with sore and sensitive muscle groups.

The hairstylist Alex is great, nice, and professional. But the owner!! My God. This woman is by far the rudest, unfriendliest, most unprofessional person I've met in the beauty industry. I had a manicure here by the owner herself (the older East Asian lady) and she filed my nails so hard that she made the tip of my finger bleed with the edge of the nail file. Then instead of apologising or asking if I was okay, she went away and started fiddling around with the light for several minutes. When I asked if I could have some alcohol or disinfectant she didn't respond or acknowledge me in any way. This went on for another 2-3 minutes at which point she claimed that my finger must have been bleeding before. This is when I blew up and hit the roof. I told her that it was a civil and human thing to acknowledge a mistake and to say sorry and that in any other salon they would have disinfected the cut right away instead of walking off and frowning at the customer. I will never go back here again. Do yourself a favour and go to any other salon in Chiswick. Cheap is often a sure sign of bad service.

Sweet staff - and nice ambiance. However, not the greatest place for a shellac manicure. The manicurist clumsily corrected after many of the polish stokes - with her own thumb - resulting in a messy result. Kudos for attempting to rectify when I asked for her to correct the mistakes. Still not an outstanding result though. The 5GBP discount she gave was nice - but Chiswick is not short on nail-salons, so will sadly not be returning here.

Found this place by fluke as my usual salon couldn’t fit me in, WELL what an awesome turn out for me.

The time and dedication to my manicure and pedicure I can honestly say I’ve never experienced and as for the 1hr Thai fusion massage I had,, mind blowing !

Only trouble now is figuring out how I’m going to do all my chores feeling this mellow and relaxed now 😉

I was very pleasently surprised by this place! I had a stiff neck and went there spontainously to get a massage. They not only focused on my head, neck and shoulders as I asked, but also perfectly adjusted for a pregnancy massage. When I entered the place I was a bit skeptical at first, as it looked more like a Asian shop than a massage salon, but behind the back door was hiding an amazing massage oasis that literally blew my mind! Amazing! Thank you!

I've been to Thai Retreat a couple of times before and it's always been very good, although some time ago. Recently I tried use a gift voucher (30 minute massage) I bought my girlfriend shortly before the start of the pandemic that has since passed the 12 month expiry day. Having spoke to the owners husband I was advised they wouldn't honour this voucher as it is out of date. No understanding whatsoever that there has been a pandemic, no consideration that I have actually paid good money for this. Just a flat no.

Equally worrying was the customer service (or lack of). I've asked for a call back twice now from the owner, which I have still not received. But more infuriating was the attitude I recieved when I questioned why they wouldn't honour my voucher. Terrible customer service manner, confrontational, to the point where I was being blamed for not using the voucher earlier! Have had other examples of a trip, an experience day and a spa day where out of date vouchers have been honoured as the pandemic was obviously an extreme circumstance. But not Thai Retreat - needless to say I will not be going back again and I recommend if you want to part with your money you go somewhere that deserves it!

Absolute nonsense. I called to find out if they actually do waxing and was told yes. I made my way there, wen I entered the man asked if I was here for the wax and I said yes. He advised me the lady would be out soon, when she came out she asked "wax yea" I said yes. Ten mins went by and nothing was happening- noone was telling me nothing let alone paying attention to a paying customer, the lady was sitting round the other side fixing cups and plates so I got up and walk out. I would NOT recommend at all. Waste of time.

Brilliant Thai foot massage and 30 min aromatherapy massage. I highly recommend both treatments. The therapists are experienced and friendly. The treatment rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. Great place :)
