Retro Hair Co

Went here 3 times. Told them each time I wanted to go light, ash blonde and get rid of warm tones - they gave me a tint and it was a yellowy colour but I was assured each time I came back I could be taken lighter. Then was advised to move on to highlights because putting a tint on again wouldn't take it any lighter. So I booked highlights and then when I got there I was told by a different girl highlights can't be put on top of a tint so she only did the highlights on the very top of my head and turned the rest of my hair even more yellow and in some places there are patches of bright orange which is exactly the OPPOSITE of what I wanted. These girls talk like they know what they're doing but they mustn't do because each time I have been here I have walked out disappointed. They don't say, "no we can't do that, it'll make your hair patchy orange & yellow", they just do it anyway. They give very ill advice (or don't advise me at all) and are very contradictory. And the girl said when she was finished today, "oh just keep using silver shampoo on it." Well, hunny, silver shampoo will cost me £5 and that's to correct the £60 disaster you've just created for my hair colour. And it's Christmas day tomorrow, too. I'm not going back here.

Have visited this salon 3 times since October last year. The first 2 times very happy with the cut .Unfortunately on the 3rd visit I am very disappointed with the outcome, it is terrible . I was not shown the full cut at the back of my head and when I looked at it in the mirror when I arrived home I saw the full extent of the unevenness of the cut. I will not be returning to this salon.

fantastic staff. As someone who has always been nervous going to the hairdressers (after many bad experiences) I was made up to find somewhere where I feel comfortable and confident. I always go to Rebecca but all the staff are amazing.

Hate having to swap hairdressers, you never know what you will get, especially difficult when you are nervous too. I've had plenty of condescending hairdressers, so Gemma was a breath of fresh air and awesome. So friendly and helpful.

I should have posted a long time ago but here I am now....I’ve been going to this amazing salon for best part of 7 years (if not longer). I cannot recommend the ladies highly enough. They are all fantastic & I come out feeling like a million pounds every time! I always see Rebecca, head lady, but know that they are all marvellous. It’s a joy to go & spend a morning/afternoon chilling out & getting my hair done to perfection every time 😊

Had my hair somewhere else and wasn't happy with it rang retro and made an appointment with Gemma so glad I did brilliant cut so happy with it Gemma was easy to talk to and listend Have already made next appointment

Fabulous place. Won't go anywhere else. Somewhere where they really listen to your needs & ideas and are honest in opinion of what suits. Welcoming friendly and not mega expensive. Rebecca is a fantastic manager/head stylist. Couldn't ask for better can very highly recommend
