Hi everyone ,
Just thought id share what I've been through lately at JAG HAIR PENARTH.. so for a few months I've been wanting bug curly hair (spiral perm) instead if my flat poker straight hair especially as i have a holiday coming up I was thinking yes I can leave my hair dry naturally and be ready to go , So I made an appointment with Jag hair about 8 weeks ago... extremely excited for my lovely bouncy curls.. the past couple months I've gone without a hairdryer and straighteners and conditioned lots and my hair was the beat its ever been .. so the day came and I was buzzing.. got to the hairdresser sat down and I showed the stylist 2 photos of what is like and one I didn't like - made it very very clear I wanted big and bouncy, made it clear that I wanted the no product , natural looking bounce. happy enough I said yep let's do this. ..... with no warning of the extent of damage it could do to my hair or for any reason why my hair would not be able to achieve the look I wanted..

So after having the perm solution on for a while 8t was all washed off dried a little and the whole of jag product range stuck on my hair I was shocked to hear ok wer done.... lookong in the mirror my stomach sank as already I knew it was nothing like this picture of shown but was reassured I need to let it dry natural and a crunch with a towel at home.. I've never left a salon with dripping wet hair but not knowing the procedure I thought ok... they obviously no what theyre talking about so I begrudgingly paid and went home to see the dry bouncy result..... wrll the look on my best friends face said it all.... it was so far from what I asked for .. it was hideous... not curly.... just frizzy.
So I messaged jag there and then and said politely its not what I asked for ..... There's no curls.... so very far from the Spiral Perm id asked for.
So they replied come back tomorrow and we will go through options....
So I did.
As I arrived i was taken to the basin to have it dampened.. then a million more products on to scrunch pretend curls into my head. When i questioned the perm I felt very belittled as they stood over me yapping about how it's fine and then they said well they can 're perm it and having been told by a hairdressing friend to not get it permed again I said no .. theu suggesting straightening it which heat j was told was super bad for my hair too.

So I left.. got into my car a broke down in tears after feeling bullied (by the manager ) I then wrote back and said im sorry I need a refund..... the damage to my hair is beyond fixable.
It's all snapped , it's dead- all of it. I've no choice but to cut it all off.
After a few days of being totally ignored by jag... and conditioning treatments from another salon we decided to phone them ... only to be screamed at down the phone by the manager and hung up on.

I've spoken to trading standards and other salons.. who were totally gobsmacked at 1 the state of my hair now and 2 the fact that they even permed my hair knowing this would happen.
From beginning to end this had been the most unprofessional service I've ever witnessed.
The perm was £110 and they are refusing any contact with me - my hair is completly shredded.. ruined .

I beg everyone to not put they're trust in the hands of jag.
Very unprofessional , will literally kill your hair then IGNORE YOU . money grabbing little salon.

Please be aware of this salon.This is what the owner did to my hair the day before I was going on holiday.
Clearly she has no idea how to colour hair or what to use to prevent this disaster happening. She burnt my scalp and left me with yellow roots. I wasn't go to post anything but people need to know how she left my hair. She tried to re-correct it but the damage was already done.
My hair is still in a very bad condition months later.
