She gives good, honest advice and will not compromise her standards and professionalism. The client and their hair is at the heart of all she does.
This is my happy place - I feel instantly at ease from the moment I step into the salon.
I love the way that Kelly and Stacey explain every step of the process and why they are doing it. I find it fascinating and my hair has never looked so good - in fact a number of my friends are now clients from the transformation of my hair.
I trust them with my hair implicitly (and for me that is a big thing)
Banish bad hair days - get to Technocracy
Kelly and the Girls always make every client feel extra special,
With 1 - 1 attention for the whole time you are at the Salon, you come away feeling angry looking amazing......wouldn't go anywhere else 🥰
However, after my wife's last visit our view and rating couldn't be more contrasting. After years of being different colours my wife decided a year ago to go blonde/lighter. Kelly told her it would be a gradual process and the first two treatments were fine and left my wife looking and feeling fabulous. But, there's no easy way to put this, the last visit has destroyed her hair. There's no other explanation other than the bleach was left on too long. Her hair immediately started falling out, breaking off and now, over a month later, it's still doing so. The fringe which was long and tapered is now short and blunt and quite simply frazzled. My wife has subsequently sort advice and has been told that it'll be impossible to bleach or lighten her hair for at least six months.
My wife takes very good care of herself, has no health concerns and buys the best quality products (Olaplex) from professional retailers. Therefore, none of this can be blamed on her, how she cares for her hair or any other external contributing factors.
What really galled us both is not what happened but how it was handled. Mistakes happen but it's how they're dealt with marks a person and they're integrity. At no point has Kelly taken ownership or offered the slightest, let alone a full and sincere apology. Someone with awards won for customer care would have had my wife to return to the salon immediately (not after the third or fourth tearful call), done whatever they could to rectify her hair and the situation, taken ownership and not tried to blame her or other factors and if necessary offered the next visit for free. Now, this is no call for free service as my wife has already cancelled all further visits and has no intention of going to the salon again.
As I said, mistakes happen but someone with such experience, knowledge and award winning skills shouldn't really be making them BUT if/when things do go wrong they need to be handled with more credibility, integrity, professionalism and genuine care.
I will conclude by saying not to fall for the glitz and the 'award winning' because in our experience they're utterly worthless. In fact, I would bring the accreditating body itself into question. This may sound harsh but it's a genuine and honest appraisal. Trust me when I say I wish I still felt as I originally did. My wife is devastated by what's happened, she now hates how her hair looks and it has knocked her confidence.
P.s. 1* is the lowest I can go!
*Old/previous review*
The difference between the all around service, experience, expertise and knowledge that Kelly and her salon provides and the rest is incalculable.
She talked my wife through every stage of the process, making sure she was happy before moving forward. The end result was breathtaking. My wife was beaming and more beautiful than ever.
I too was welcomed in the salon and Kelly even took the time to explain what she was doing to me, why things are done as they are and what the end result would be.
The fact that my wife had Kelly and Kelly alone doing her hair (no trainee or more junior member of staff to wash or style etc) makes a huge difference to the whole experience.
To call Kelly just a hairdresser is a huge understatement. She's a hairdresser, alchemist, customer service champion and new friend all rolled into one.
It's plain to see why the salon and Kelly are multi award winning.
If it was possible I'd award her, her staff and salon 10*!
