I've been a customer at this salon for 2 years and the lovely Nadine is my stylist. The team are warm, friendly and welcoming. Nadine really listened to me and each time the results have been fantastic. Just booked another appointment. Highly recommended salon.

Can't rate this place highky enough. Went in for my first visit friday for a cut and blow dry and had Julie. Not only did she give me a great new cut she gave me lots of advice about after care. I've taken on board what she has said and my hair is already showing the benefits with its condition. Definitely my new regular salon!!

I had a terrible experience with this salon, from when I started going there in 2013, and only now do I feel strong enough to write a review. I have social anxiety, which means that going to the hairdresser's is something I dread, rather than look forward to.

I had my hair cut with Adam the first time I went, and wasn't overly enthusiastic about the cut, so I decided to try Nadine. I was pleased with the way Nadine cut my hair, and decided to have a full head of foils with Nadine, which I was also pleased with. When I went back a few weeks later to have my roots done with Nadine, I realised when I got home, there was still a lot of grey in my hair that hadn't been covered. I phoned the salon, and Tony the owner willingly re coloured the grey areas, and said that Nadine had used a colour that wouldn't cover 100% of the grey. When I went in for my next appointment with Nadine, I could tell she wasn't happy with me. She said that Tony had said there was a bit of grey left in my hair when she had coloured it. I corrected her and said there was quite a lot of grey.

I carried on having my hair cut and coloured with Nadine, because she is a good colourist and stylist, even though I could tell she didn't like me. I thought maybe it was because I didn't leave her tips. At the time when I first started going there, I couldn't afford to as I wasn't working. When I made appointments over the phone and Nadine answered, she took my name, but never made any conversation or even say ''hello'' or ask how I was. She acted like she didn't know me. Then one day I was having my hair cut with her, and asked her if she could take the weight out of my hair as my hair is thick. She looked at me in the mirror and said in a stern manner that she had, and did I want more weight taken out of it. I said yes, and at that point she flew into a silent rage and started hacking at my hair with the razor scissors at a rate of knots. I was speechless. I went home and obviously she had ruined my hair. I phoned the salon a day or two later when I plucked up enough courage, and complained to Tina the owners wife, who said she would look into it. She got back in touch, and obviously Nadine had denied it and had a different story. I never went back to Nadine, and Tina suggested I have a cut with Julie and colour with Sophie, which I did. Julie cut my hair the once and she is a lovely person, but doesn't stop talking, which is not what I want when having a hair cut. I then made an appointment with Tony to have a cut, but out of the blue I had a phone call from his wife Tina, to say that Tony was refusing to cut my hair, because he said I wasn't happy with anyone else in the salon, and he had trained them all to cut hair. I never went back again.

I spent a lot of money in that salon, and probably went there for a year.
Nadine and Tony blanked me whenever I went in after I complained about Nadine. When I went in once to have my roots done, and asked the assistant washing my hair if they could put some keratin spray in my hair, as I was having a rough dry, Tina was passing and said I would have to pay for the spray if I wanted it. Again I was speechless.

To summarise, in my opinion they are a manipulative, clicky bunch, apart from Sophie and Julie, who are genuinely nice people. Adam left suddenly not long after I started going there, and didn't keep in touch with any of them afterwards as far as I know, as long as I was going there. This salon had a huge negative impact on my mental health and my advice would be to avoid going there.

The women I spoke to was rude on the phone. I asked to book in for an up do and she just made me feel as if she didn't want the business! Then continued to say "I don't know if our salon will be able to do an updo" .. waste of time and spoke to me like rubbish - completely unprofessional
My first haircut today since Covid-19 shielding ended. It was lovely to be warmly welcomed by everyone there who are all so friendly and I had another super cut by the hugely talented Julie. I was very impressed and reassured by all the measures that have been put in place to protect customers and staff. I was particularly pleased by the phone call from Tina, the day before my appointment (to explain the PPE and procedures) because I knew exactly what to expect at my visit today. Its obvious that a lot of hard work has gone into making the salon a safe place to be.
Thank you to everyone at Anthony John 🌈

I had a displeasure of small interaction with staff. As my son suffers with psychiatric condition called Obsessive compulsive disorder, often overly interested in unusual things like shop shutters at the moment. Staff member gave this poor child very unpleasant looks and absolutely zero curtesy. It's a medical condition that feels like a torture. Child has no control over the condition nor has the understanding of social norms.
I am sorry for the distress we caused you as we stood outside your shop for 30 min waiting for the shutters to close.
All the best
Hope you will always enjoy great mental health and never experience what we are going thru.
