I’m stunned that the stylist allowed the client to a, pay £60 for that bad haircut and b, let her walk out with hair like this. The stylist should of asked a senior for help to rectify it, apologising to the client there and then.
I also think the client should of gone back to the salon and let a different, more senior stylist correct it. The salon wasn’t given a chance, as the client went straight to social media, fair enough if they messed up again she’d have something to go public about. If things are fixed in house the stylist would receive more training so this doesn’t happen again. I’ve had the odd wonky haircut over the years but never had a problem when I went back to have it fixed.
The public should think about posting their negative reviews, one bad haircut / mistake does not reflect the whole salon. People’s jobs / businesses are at stake here. Nobody’s perfect, be kind.

As a fellow stylist I am saddened to see the amount of hate this salon has recieved over something that is so minuscule. Totally out of hand and it's another reason why the amount of hairdressers in NZ is rapidly declining because we deal with these situations, where instead of coming into have minor details fixed (maybe you were rushing after working through all your daily breaks to keep up, I do all the time) they would rather blast this poor person on social media and encourage this ridiculous behaviour. Literally just a case off not combing the hair down enough so there was some uneveness when dry or elevation.. Keep your head up I have read countless positive reviews about your shop and this will blow over x

Terrible service, you may get a wonky haircut and be sued for complaining about it. Best to avoid and go somewhere else.

Mistakes can happen looks like the girl who's hair was not cut correctly did not give the salon a change to put right or say sorry.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE,THEY MESS UP YOUR HAIR!! AND THEY ARE UNAPOLOGETIC ABOUT THEIR MESS UPS AND INSTEAD DECIDE TO SUE CUSTOMERS

Delighted!!!

After being let down so many times with poor colouring and styling by my regular salon/spa in Caerphilly I had no idea what to do with my hair.
I was recommended Arista by my friend.
I was quite nervous about my first visit today but need not have worried.
I was greeted by both Emma and Nathan. Nathan discussed how he could rectify my shocking cut and Emma went through my colour options .
I immediately relaxed as they were both so full of ideas.
The salon is spotless and really modern.

For the first time in a very long time I am absolutely delighted with the colour and the cut and I’m so glad I found Arista!!

I highly recommend the salon and all the ladies leaving had fab results!!

I've been torn about writing this review, previously I have had good experiences here but my last visit was far from it. So due to covid I've been up and down about going to the salon, I went once in the summer and was super freaked out then so I've been using box colours. The build up has made my hair super dark so I wasn't expecting miracles, what I wasn't expecting was them to take a cutting and bleech it, then all stand around looking at it shaking their heads. So yeah that make me feel self conscious. Anyway one of the senior stylists came over to also assess my hair. She was so rude and blunt asking why my layers were so short, almost implying I've done a DIY cut. So I explained that I had lost half my hair after I had covid and this is the regrowth. I've been feeling so low and depressed about my hair after loosing so much. I went to the salon hoping it would be a pick me up. Instead I felt really judged and self conscious sat there. The girl next to me had the most beautiful hair and the whole salon kept telling her so, whilst I sat there feeling really judged. I got in my car after my root colour and cut and balled my eyes out. It had taken so much to build the confidence to go into a salon again and it's been shattered. The cut was nice, but I just didn't enjoy the experience.

I had a full consultation with Emma before deciding what colour technique would suit my hair - it turned out exactly as I had hoped for thank you so much. Phoebe cut my hair, she was so helpful and did a great job styling my hair. Thank you so much for making me feel at ease. Highly recommended.
