I had placed an order and was looking forward to pick-up the next day; however, for some reason the piece of defective. I was given an option of a full refund, however, I was very keen on getting the product.
I informed the manager, Andy, that I would rather like the product than a refund. Andy went all the way out to make this happen as the product was really low on stock across all Toolstation Branches.
Staff have also been borderline rude and seem very disinterested on multiple occasions, with what seems like very high turnover
The staff were helpful. I enjoyed seeing one of them doing a mini-dance, it cheers up the day :D
The next day I went to collect the items and I was told by the staff there that it had not been delivered.
When they checked their system there was no update as to where the items were even though it is a trackable item. I as told to give it another day and they will have an update if the items are not delivered.
I went to the store again on Saturday 29th May 2021 and there was nothing delivered at the store.
I had booked for the boiler to be fitted on Saturday and the plumber had cancelled other work so that mine would be done. I called him to say the boiler hasnt arrived, his response was that I unfortunately have to pay him for wasted time because he would have been doing other work.
The boiler only got delivered on Tuesday 1st June 2021.
Overall the staff were fine in keeping me informed of why the items delayed but the overall service was very poor and it cost me an awful lot of wated time and money.
